Just want to say thank you for these videos! I just replaced my crankshaft sensor in a parking lot and it only took 4 hours! Thank you for the help!
I love how thorough these videos are.. this is the right way to teach 🙌👏🍻
Thank you for the detail in this video! I watched several videos on this and no one comes close to doing it with as much detail and as good of lighting and camerawork, as well as showing areas to watch out for. Great job! I was able to do this after watching a few times in key areas.
How long did it take you and on what engine did you perform the fix? I have a 335xi N54 engine
Mechanics can easily be medical surgeons. Amazing stuff!
I'm working my 2006 325i and I learned a lot from your videos thanks. Appreciate the wisdom.
Same
Excellent tutorial Thank you Gents !!
Hey quick question the sensor you just took out is that only for automatics e90 because I’m going to change my gaskets from my manifold so might as well change it to since I’m going to remove all that . My car is a 2006 bmw 325i e90 6speed sedan . Thank you
Great video
Be very precise with torquing this sensor because the sensor will not be able to read the engine. My torque spec was 3 nm. Make sure you order an o-ring and new bolt because it is an aluminum bolt that is one time usage which I learned the hard way by braking a bolt.
used this video 2 years ago for help and just came back cause that old sensor failed thanks again for the help!
What symptoms when they brake?
dont buy chinese buy OEM
Is there a way I can get those coveralls your wearing or where can I order them please I really want them
Pls do a video on replacing the brake vacuum sensor
Can you make a video on how to code a BMW 335i EKPM3 unit using the Autel Maxisys computer?
Are the sensors the same part or are they 2 different sensors? I can only locate 1 sensor on the parts store
Thank you for the video. I have a 2004 BMW 645Ci and these codes P1727 P0335 - popped up for the crankshaft sensor. I called to get a sensor and the shop is saying there is a wiring update required. Has anyone heard of this and know how to update the wiring? Thanks in advanced
Thanks just changed my n42 318i….it save me a lot of !!!
M working on a 320i M54 engine. I want to know what are the effects of a crankshaft position denser.?

No need to remove intake manifold to replace crankshaft sensor
can you explain further so we understand?
@@saijinkai take the plastic cowl with cabin filter off then stick your hand down and reach the crankshaft position sensor, you'll need a long extension to unscrew the bolt holding it
Thank for that
Very uncomfortable to remove it that way. I know it sucks to remove the manifold but the way I see it, while you have the manifold out you might as well replace everything you need to such as a the oil separate and its hoses(if you haven't and the car has very high mileage)
At this point I rather put car on lift and try to get it from the bottom
I got around taking out the manifold, and changed the sensor, but! Now the code doesn’t clear, do you guys know if it needs to relearn once the new sensor is installed?
I'm looking how to fix the crankshaft wiring harness the wires are still intact but the pigtail is broke up any suggestions
Does that cause a surge going in reverse with my foot on the pedal My needle revs up and down when going in reverse
There is a easier way. With longer tools
Can you explain please I’m doing it today and I know there’s another way with extension but can’t find a link or what tools I’ll need
Right, with extensions and swivle socket lol don't even have to remove the top support bar. Yikes
I did it with a long extension and swivel socket and man let me tell you it was a pain in the ass but once I got it on it was done
Does this cranks sensor lead to long cranking before the car starts
Any info on code p1338? 2011 N55 335i?
I think it would be cool to introduce your helper, it would give them a few moments of "limelight" and people would feel more acquainted with you personally 😉. Just a thought but great info always!!
Kinda wish you could show us putting it back together.
What is that connection that they remove at minute 8:50?
Ayuda! Tengo el codigo p0015 en mi motor n52, donde se ubica el sensor sue debo cambiar?
My 2010 m3 e90 Will shift out of park, unless I open up the gear shaft and manually push it down into neutral, and then it will only be a neutral, and if I put it in gear and try to drive it, it just starts making a ticking noise by my shifting knob . Long story short, I can’t drive my car and my battery died quickly. Also, what’s going on?
my 5 series have the exact same issues would the process be the same ??
Yes
Where can I get the sensor to buy
Anyone else not have the “o2 sensors” on the long metal fuel injector plate thing next to where the intake manifold meets the engine??? Or just mw.
You can do this from the top as long you have about two good extensions and climb onto the engine . Make sure you have plenty of light . I did my e46 cps from the top without intake manifold removal as well . Just take your time and this job honestly isn’t as hard as you think 🏁
Bullshit. It’s takes just as long doing it that way. Suck it up and do it right.
Ok so why is there not a vid for the one in the front is it a different one from that one ?
Riiight
That one is easy, right next to your vanos solenoids
It’s the camshaft sensor. Not the crankshaft. But , considering he’s already in there I can understand the frustration.
I changed all 3 sensors camshaft crankshaft and exhaust still popping up p0335 p0700 stalling and hard start ??????? What now 😏
Buy a new car 🚗🤣🤣
Did you clear the old code 😭
@@jaidenperez0719 Yes I agree, clear out the old codes and run the scan again
Did you ever figure it out? This guy has another video about the crankshaft fuse. Please let me know what worked for you.
It's your OiL sensor
Omg I well broke therevenything must teka car in garage
Well my car still at 925 rpm lost power only code they show is p0155
Both sensor are new
Did you find out what it was?
O2sensor (oxygen sensor bank 2-1
When you learn how to speak without saying "Guys" every other word, then I will watch your videos. This is sooooo annoying.
Hola como estas. Saludos desde Colombia. Siempre veo tus videos y quisiera preguntarte sobre una falla que tengo con un BMW e90 , para ver si tu me ayudas a saber como arreglar esa falla en ese carro. Me puedes regalar tu WhatsApp?
this is absolute bullshit.... all that work to access a small piece of plastic!! Thank you for the video though....
