Thank you for such a great video! I just got a 2011 X5 for free because the owner didn’t want to deal with all the electrical issues. I’ve narrowed it down to the crank position sensor for the transmission cutting off at times. This video just helped me to confirm. Thanks so much for all the info!

Hi, i have a 330d bmw e90 2007 model .I have changed the gearbox fluid, but the gearbox does not change when i have the accelerator flat down (Pedal to the Metal) .it battles to go into gear unless i manually put it to MS Mode and change gears or release the accelerator . What could be the issue PLEASE HELP

Great Video!! Maybe not directly related to your video subjects. I have the ZF26hp in my X5 E70 35d and getting these weird fault codes :
4BE8 DDE: Message (transmission data 2, 0x1A2)
4DF3 DDE: Message (torque transmission, 0xB5)
4BE3 DDE: Message (transmission data, 0xBA)
I get the transmission fault light (gear symbol with ! in center) on my dashboard.
Do you think this might be a TCM fault or maybe connections?
I have a 06 325i with codes P0716, P1702, P0218, P0015, P0700 & P17E5. Will I need to replace the transmission or how can I fix it
Thank you so much I just replaced the entire pcv hoses and thingy and after the dam trans code came on looked at ur vedio and the crank sensor came disconnected I plugged it back in qnd she drives like new again well better then before

I have 06 320 e90 suddenly stopped starting but would crank, then I was checking under bonnet fuse + arced + wire to hood now gearbox fault light is up it's won't come out of park as if no power to gbox , now it won't crank at all, please help

Please help me. I need your advice.I bought my car E60 only week ago and i have problem now with parking gear.
After driving my car for about 3 miles i stop then i can not put in any gear because it always slipps to parking gear.
If the engine cool down for about one hour car transmission works fayn .
I think it goes on ‘limp mode or safe mode.’
I would check the connection from the gear box and the side of the transmission.
If a transmission is red will it be fixed
I wanna ask a question but from the looks of it by the other comments yaw don’t respond back buuuuuuut I have a 06 325xi and this happened I changed both camshaft sensors in the front and the problem continues. I disconnected the battery but not the other things u mentioned but then again you only pulled out one camshaft sensor. I changed two which is in front of the belt.

had my transmission light come on on my 2000 320 yesterday after a 240kilometer drive. there was no change in the driveability of the car. after arriving home, the light was gone upon restart. In august i took it to the dealer in Kobe, after it went into limp mode with the eml light on, and they told me that the throttle body, EGS module and ASC+T motor was bad. i was kiinda surprised to hear about the EGS problem, as i hadnt detected any tranny problems. I wasnt surprised to hear about the ASC+T motor though, as the light would come on periodically. When it comes on, I hit the motor with a pair of plyers and the light goes out. I just installed a brand new Hella throttle body and the car was running very well. Could this tranny light be the EGS problem that the dealer mentioned?
What if there's no code related to camshaft sensor? But transmission light pops up snd and car isn't switching gears correctly or staying stock in one gear? Can it be the sensor or i have a bad transmission? Can low oil cause this?

Get a diagnosis but could also be your vanos contributing additional to maybe the cam sensor

That’s just called a blown transmission
My e 46 is doing the same and I change oil colent but nothing changes
You probably need a mew transmission or rebuild.
On the e46 the rear wheel transmission always goes bad zf and Gm

I have a 2004 x3 2.5 engine. The car runs excellent. Gears shift good.. how ever every once in a while the transmission light will come on, and the car will go on limp mode . Then I turn the car off, wait a few seconds.. I start the car again and the light is off.. and is out of limp mode. Any ideas what could be wrong?
