He was attending a funeral in Phila and as he was getting out of a car at the cemetery, someone in the crowd pulled out a gun and shot him point-blank in the head. The word on the street was that his killing was an act of street justice. I will not be surprised if someone will write a book about this man's life and his subsequent killing. The book will become a best seller and then a made-for-television movie.
I worked for HEB for almost 20 years before I had to retire for health reasons, but hopefully plan to return, they have really good benefits and insurance.
Not knowing anything about this case, hard to really tell what happened. One thing that does stand out is that this guy DEFINITELY did not sound like an upstanding citizen of society.

Retribution in my opinion. Grudges can be held for all the decades until all the parties concerned have died, but they can also be carried on down one or two generations. Perhaps it was a relative or descendant of someone he had crossed in the past. Nice clean supermarket there, everything displayed perfectly

I sprinkle the rub on top. But on tacos, it is indescribable its so good. I don't even want them if I don't have it. And weirdly it's great with catfish. Shouldn't work, but it does. Sweet heat.😋

I worked at a HEB in Houston in 1998 that store was always packed.
