it’s kinda crazy how 3 of the albums on here (feet always cold, a lonely sinner, and where the butterflies go) were made by people who are either active on aoty, or first got their start on a brad taste in music request stream. also kinda crazy how i’m mutuals on aoty with the person responsible for the album at number 30 on this list

It’s cause Brad Taste often states how he doesn’t like it (for some reason, I’ve never heard him explain why). AOTY also worships Fantano, Fantano effect is evidently a lot stronger there than on RYM

as someone who thinks brat is just ok (i gave it a 68) its felt weird seeing projects that have been above it (kamasi washingtons fearless movement and joey durans feet always cold) go lower score wise just by being above it
worth mentioning joey durans project fell down hard during the process of the making of this video + fearless movement will probably lose 1st sometime soon
