- First released in 2001 (exactly 20 years ago at the time of filming) the first version of the FANTOM by Roland is still a strong synth. Check out what it can do with a simple piano sound (6:00).

Wow that is a very good looking keyboard for the time. Hopefully entry level keyboards will get a monochrome screen in the future.
I still own the titanium beast. My first synth ever.

Mate, Thank You for this Video.... The Original Fatom is still a good choice for a Nice Synth.... I almost bought one of these, but I found a very awesome deal on a FA06, so I went with it!
It has the same sound engine as the XV-5050. Only the mono piano samples show its age. For the rest, the sounds are still very usable.

This was my first TRUE Workstation!! Paid for it ALL by myself. Cost me $1000 at the time. It is a great workstation however I sold it after while due to the key length being a little shorter on this model for whatever reason.

Gearfacts if you find a roland d 50 make sure its in good working condition and make sure all the keys work all the way

I've been using this same model for the past 3 years as my main, fantom fa76

I'm passing on one for $500.00 in 2023 no usb , no sampler, and it sounds a little dated for the time . If i could have got it for $300 I would have probably bought it maybe.

why cant i record different patches at the same time...every time i select a patch on the record the previous one changes also for that new. the step recording does not assume over the 16 channels nay diferent sounds i want.....there is any trick...or is just cant be able....
