So We were pretty much even for the MGS1 portion, then Liquid starting owning me in MGS2, then I destroyed him in MGS3. This video is pretty much a trailer form my upcoming MGS4 LP. - Hry

Michael Mitchell Nanomachines son. It was never Liquid. It was Ocelot all the time. He fooled the patriots. He implanted himself nanomachines from liquid, to behave as him, body aswell as mind, was controlled by the nanomachines to copy liquid.Everyone thought the arm from Liquid possessed Ocelot, but that was never true.

As you can see, Ocelots Arm here looks somehow ''different''.
Liquids arm REALLY possessed him sometimes in MGS2, like you said, on the Tanker. Always when Solid Snake was around.
After MGS2, Ocelot knew, that Liquids Arm is dangerous, and he removed it, and got another arm.
But Snake thought he was Liquid and had still his arm.
So, ocelot implanted himself the Nanos from Liquid, or just the mind from liquid, and pretended with that help, to be Liquid.
My Theory is, that the nanos made him think in the end, that he really IS Liquid.
But, just before his death, he remembered his old ego. ''Your'e pretty good!''

The name Naked Snake or Big Boss carries monumental weight in the Metal Gear community as he is arguably one of the best written characters of all time, in addition to an admittedly tragic story. Plus, Metal Gear Solid 3 is arguably the best Metal Gear game in terms of story and lore

Things that crept into my mind while watching this
1. Their health and stamina goes up when fighting as Naked Snake and Ocelot as its emulating them being young again and having more energy
2. Ocelots trousers would be incredibly difficult to fight in, they're like dinner slacks, they would definitely be ripped after like 20 seconds of this fight

@@TheBlackDemon1996 I never played the 2nd or 3rd game, systems and youth you see, but I did play the 1st and 4th. Thank you uncle, and the hint is that in the 1st game you were called "Solid Snake" and one of the main terrorists was called "Liquid Snake". I don't know about 2nd or 3rd but in 4th you were called "Naked Snake" since your outfit changes color and blends with the environment, like an actual reptile hence the "naked" part.
Naked Snake was the codename given to Big Boss during Operation Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater, both of which are in MGS3, not MGS4. On that note, apart from this fight you are never called Naked Snake in MGS4, the OctoCamo suit is what allows you to blend in to your surroundings which itself has no allusions to Naked Snake.

I don't know if it was based on Snake himself or the 1st beauty boss, Octopus in the medical warehouse but in the very beginning you remember how they showed an octopus in its environment, in the style of a real life documentary? They mentioned that was their bare skin to sneak up on prey and hide from predators, hence the "naked". I'm not arguing, you most likely know more about MGS than me, just trying to make sense of the codename. The reason you might know more about MGS is because there are so many plot twists you give up and just say Raiden is Big Boss because he has 1 eye and hides in boxes in Revengeance. (Yes, that many plot twists)

You see, those little flashes came from previous games and when Ocelot did his signature pose and said "You're Pretty Good", you could hear his MGS3 voice saying that. It's a reference to Naked Snake (Big Boss) meeting Ocelot and him saying that to him.
And since Solid Snake is already a clone of Big Boss, it's only fitting for them to add this to the specific phase. That's also why Snake Eater (The song for the third game) is playing in the background.

Now THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE, THIS is a final boss, a character who has a relationship with the main character, a character with their own ideals, their own strengths, a character who’s also on the same level as the main character, not ridiculously stronger
This is a final boss, not because of how intense it is, but because of the stakes and the relationship between the characters
End of the day, this is probably one of the best final boss fights in video game history

Venom snake stolen identity
I’ve always noticed how sad Snake looks when Ocelot finally dies. Despite being arch enemies for almost a decade, I get this sense that Snake kinda cared for Ocelot, or at the very least respected him to a degree. With a face that sad, Snake must have felt something for the guy.
Solid Snake saw Liquid Ocelot as the man who will destroy America in one swoop. He acknowledged him as Liquid than just Revolver Ocelot suffering from supernatural BS. He bought his Liquid's possession shenanigans. Then by the end they fought as if Ocelot is not really trying to win but to give himself and snake the last fight they won't forget. As soldiers they have to obey orders and in a way to cope with harshness of war they tend to trigger the response of battle high as something positive despite its long term psychological implications. Ocelot was not the man who will destroy America, he's just a soldier completing his mission much like Snake. Even his "hired hit" is not as simple as an assassination mission but two soldiers fighting to complete their orders. He never believed in the ideals of outer heaven but he wouldn't simply brush-off the sacrifices of those who believed in it.
If you think of it he never called him ocelot. He always called him liquid the name by his brother. So I think somewhere it is hard if you have to stop your own brother by beating him to death... cause if you won’t the word would be destroyed
The most sad moment Is when liquid kisses the cheecks of snake after choking him. It’s like remembering him that he somewhere deep inside him even loved snake as his little brother
That makes it even more hard to beat liquid

For all intents and purposes snake thought this was Liquid. He had no reason no to believe that this was his brother and realizing that the sibling rivalry was finally over to him was a victory in his life but ultimately gave him no purpose left
I don't think Solid Snake has ever met Ocelot, to be honest. Ocelot just introduced himself and that was about it.
This, for me, was the most epic and memorable moment in gaming.

Not at all. The only heroes were Snake and Raiden, they never wanted to create war and conflict like Liquid, Solidus, Big Boss or Ocelot. Just because they wanted to get rid of the Patriots it doesn't mean they're good.

Leading with "Encounter" right as the fight starts was an absolute masterstroke. I loved how the health bars change each round, too.
That's the worst part to me. They should use Duel because that's the Boss Theme of MGS1. I understand that they use Tanker Incident (Alert) on the second phase because Snake doesn't have a Boss Theme on MGS2 but come on,not putting Duel was a bad choise.

That's going a little too far... with a HIdeo story. None of his ideas are original. Just as Snake is himself lol. Everything Hideo creates is a ripoff of something else. I would the Witcher 3 boss fight was probably the best boss battle because you wanted revenge. As far as an RPG goes.
A friend once asked me to badly explain my favourite boss fight in a game. You know after playing MGS4, i played MGS5 and looking back on it, Revolver Ocelot ultimately ended up just like Venom Snake, only instead of Big Boss, he became Liquid Snake's "Phantom" as Vulcan Raven said in MGS1 "The form is different, but the spirit is the same"

I legit started to tear up at the 4:30 mark when all the music kicked in and the way they both matched each others movements. You can tell that these two are just too tired of fighting after all these years and just want to go out with a bang. This fight means so much more emotionally when you understand the entire history of MGS 1,2,3,4, and 5.

It's not just the health bar! It's the names under the bars, the camera angles (MGS1 is from above, MGS2 is from behind Snake etc), the music, even the moves they use to fight each other with! They all change to mirror each game

I love this. How Liquid helps Snake, because he loves their eternal struggle and their bond, more than the idea of killing him while he’s defenseless. Liquid found the only person who can best him in Solid, he craves the excitement of war, of chaos.
There never was a Liquid. Liquid died in Shadow Moses. Ocelot was faking it the whole time.
