Exploring Minecraft's most GLITCHED biome...

- For those who don't know, the Farlands are a crazy phenomena in Minecraft that spawn 12550821 blocks away from spawn, and they just keep extending. But what most people don't know, is that they aren't infinite! So today, I'm checking out the Farther Lands, which usually is an INSANELY GLITCHED stretch of land which you'd never, ever see in regular gameplay. As you probably can expect, everything gets super buggy, introducing us to some mobs which barely function like normal and some really unnatural terrain generation.
I'm able to stand there because I'm using the Farlands mod for 1.17, which reenables the terrain generation. Normally, this would hurt your eyes to look at.

There are actually different types of farther lands, the stuff you see here is what I've seen shown off most on youtube. But there's one with a very pixellated look, like small chunks have been cut out of the world, and one that looks like totally normal terrain with no lighting issues. I wish you could see! A few more billions of blocks out, more stuff happens, but I can't get that far... - Zábava

I've actually gone to this biome before; me and my buddy were trying to break bedrock edition with all sorts of stuff like command blocks, redstone clocks, and stumbled upon the "Farther Lands" by complete accident lol

The genuine terror you can hear in Squiddo’s voice when she feels like she’s gonna fall through the ground surprised me because my entire life i’ve felt the exact same way, any time I encountered a glitch in a game that allowed me to clip through something, it would always scare the everliving shit out of me.

There's a generation option in Custom World generation (pre 1.13 i think) that is a lot like the farlands but not laggy and broken.

The farlands in bedrock is when everything stops being animated (and freezes sometimes) and walking is very stuttery. The fatherland are oceans with stripes of nothing, where one block looks like two.
I went there. Quite fun but the ground was glitched and the blocks were smashed and random stripes of void between them

Blocks like fences and torches also look quite strange, as if they're made of paper.

When one spawns in this level the first thing they see is a canyon type wall surrounding the north and sound borders, when moving foward. The wanderer may notice that he/she cannot break anything. Whilst still able to gather materials, they cannot throw materials, as it will vanish from thin air.

Same, subnautica is the most terrifying for me cuz of the area I think that was called the crater edge, it terrifys me to this day
@@theradiantbeast3478 oh yeah for sure, especially when I'm thinking about that type of fear the first thing I usually think about is subnautica, since in a lot of the earlier versions of subnautica and even subnautica below zero there were a lot of unfinished places that because of curiosity I would go to and then just clip through the map or in the lava zone clip through the map and it always terrified me.
I think at one point there was a similar glitch that people called the Stacklands for it was just terrain stacked on terrain stacked on terrain, like just surface but stacked on itself. Don't remember when that was discovered...

Far lands generation sequence is fuxked and bullshitted so much that the farlands is broken
Mojang or jeb fixed it with a neat looming barrier and soon made it a feature for pvp or chaenges like the 1 block world challenge
Enough about the barrier
The far lands is actiually abroken piecw of world where the generation been burnt to crisp
And you can phase true blocks for some reason
And because she iw 1 billiom blocks awwag
Things a fucked hard the farther lands sometiems you can phase true blocks and end up in the backrooms

There is actually a fartherlands in the end dimension too. I was playing in creative mode and just decided "I wonder how far out I can teleport" and just added a 0 each time. And one of them sorta failed. I couldn't walk. Blocks were stretched to 1.5 by 1 by 1. And there were entire rows of empty air. You could use enderpearls to keep pushing it further and they flew in really weird ways. And the sounds in the game kept freaking out making awful noises. (This was done on Xbox One. During the 1.18 update Idk if this exists in the other versions) but I'd recommend trying it out if you want to be genuinely confused and scared

I love this series of exploring the glitched biomes and versions, I especially like how the editing plays into the spookiness >:D always very fun to watch!
Pause at 2:56 when you see the corners change color, then you can see what Squiddo was (maybe) seeing.
At 4:32 it is much harder to pause it, but when you slow it down it is easier.
0:40 never saw a superflat world with multiple biomes, so that's actually pretty cool.

I’ve been to the farther lands before, in bedrock, it didn’t cause much lag but I could only move up and down and back and forth on one axis. The blocks were all stretched and there were rows of just nothing. I think the only reason my pc could handle it is because I used teleport commands to get there instead of walking/flying.

you could try something like “/setblock air ~ ~ ~ destroy” to pick up blocks, but entities dont seem to really *work* there so it probably doesnt work, but itd be fun to see what happens

This took me back to when minecraft was in alpha and I was watching Bananapielord.
Just exploring a weird biome (although back then the only grassy biome often had floating blocks and mountains for some reason) and finding something interesting like a treasure map and wandering off to find it.
This was an amazing adventure!
