I experienced the separation of utensils for muslims and non-muslims at my first job at Milko Ltd in Lahore in 1985. It was then that I decided to never work for a muslim company and to leave that country at the earliest possible chance I get, which I got in 1988. Most of the Christian community, I grew up with, have left that dreadful country and they are now settled in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. I thought I had put a distance between myself and the muslims but little did I know the muslims will come to western countries and try to mess it up, as they have done in their own countries.

I found Mark to be candid and informative, yet not a trace of hatred in his demeanor, Lubna. What he shares takes us on a roller-coaster of emotions. I believe that blindly following edicts of any religion without using one’s brain and asking questions contributes to the misunderstanding and lack of harmony in this world.
The problem is not religion per se, but rather those individuals who twist their faith as something that is tailor-made to suit their own purpose. It all comes down to what you summed up in two words: Humanity first. Thank you, Lubna, as always. Peace and love to all!☮♥

Mark from Pakistan started by saying that negative things have happened in his life regarding how he is treated as a minority in Pakistan but he still loves that country. In UK even if nothing has happened to a Muslim, some of them still attack UK, the culture, religion, lifestyle, dressing, fashion, education basically eveything that they hate about this country. Yet still.prefer to live here but don't like UK.
As regards blasphemy laws in Pakistan, justice is by mobs so basically anyone accused is professed to be guilty without any trial and killed mercilessly. In Lahore a lady was accused of blasphemy and luckily a lady cop quickly turned up and took her away otherwise she would have been killed. At the police station she was made to apologise when if she had done nothing wrong.
There are some leaders who will gather a mob at a drop of a hat if someone shouts blasphemy.

This is the hypocrisy of Muslims. No trace of forgiveness in their DNA. They demand 2nd, 3rd, nth number of chances for mistakes they make, but not willing to give the same grace to others. I disagree with Mark when he insinuated that you cannot play or take part in national sports if you are not a Muslim . Yusuf Youhana was a Christian when he was selected to play for the Pakistan national cricket team, it was later that him and his wife Tanya converted to Islam. And the fact that Christians are second class citizens is because they are a minority, any minority the world over is treated as second class .I don’t think Mark could substantiate anything he was saying with true facts .

    • @vinoddamji5729
      @vinoddamji5729 Před měsícem +7

@gingerali I totally agree with Mark about discrimination in sports. Danesh Kaneria,a Hindu and leg spinner in the Pakistani cricket team, was regularly discriminated against in many ways within the team and by the PCB. Shahid Afridi was a fellow player was the worst offender, who later became captain of the team, kept pressuring him to convert to Islam. I am sure his story could be Googled by anyone interested.
I also do not agree with his assumption that minorities are treated as second class citizens everywhere unless he is referring towards Islamic nations where no matter how many years you spend in those countries they will not give you citizenship.
In Pakistan, the state and public collude to deny those minimum rights to minorities that are in their constitution. Discrimination exists for them in all walks of life. No wonder the population of minorities from around a fifth at the time of creation is probably less than 2%. Most of them either left or got converted, especially after the dictator Zia Ul Haq decided to make Pakistan into an Islamic Republic by bringing more Islamisation.

Lubna, the issue of discrimination of Christian minorities in Pakistan is quite deep. Social Media treats it at a very superficial level. What you will learn as reasons for diacrimination of Christians will depress you. The first is the Caste System. This is still real in Indo-pakistan. Islam in Pakistan failed to uproot this evil that is discriminatory in its very nature.
The people who became Christians were the lowest in the caste ranking, called all sorts of derogatory names. They did the lowest, dirtiest jobs (sweeping and touching dead bodies). When you call yourself a Christian, Pakistani Muslims perceive that you are a Sweeper. It has little to do with faith in Jesus Christ. That is how a Christian cannot drink from the same cup, or eat from the same plate as a Muslim. Christians feel this to their bones as education will never change this mentality. They always remain second class citizens. The blasphemy law is largely abused by those who see others as enemies or potential threats as there are many loopholes in it . One can rot in prison simply because there is no proof that they committed that offence or not. For example, no witness in courts of law would ever orally repeat what a person may have said against Allah or and the Prophet because that person would have committed the same offence 😢
About education: the aducation system in Pakistan is never designed to solve such problems as it is only geared towards Memorizing and nothing to do with critical thinking or problem solving.
Muslims in Pakistan will always deny that caste system is still a big deal but it is deep in the bone marrow of the society. Why always ask, "What is your zaat?"

It's quite clear that the leaders, Imams or whatever, have far too much power and control. Limited knowledge means that their followers are swayed by whatever the mindset is of their religious leader. If he is moderate, his congregation will probably be moderate. If he is radical, he creates more radical followers. This is very dangerous as it does not allow people to think logically and determine for themselves, just what is right and what is wrong. Instead, like sheep, they follow the teachings of the religious leader. It is an inherently silly way to live your life, constantly at the mercy of whatever the ideals and mindset is of the leader.

So there is no law that non-muslim can not play for national team ( but they can not be top people of country PM, FM, HM, Army General etc ), But but but - they make the life so hell and scheming that they end up converting or end up leaving sports / education etc etc.
Double standards he talks about is : they will try to descriminate if they can get away with it - irrespective. But if they see they can not get away because of media attention or political pressure or something - they will be "nice" person.
Ironically Christian votes was quite decisive in partition of Punjab. Now I don't hold them responsible for it - just like we cant hold today's Brit responsible for slavery and colonies.

Muslims follow a God that was totally absent when revealing Himself 😮how can someone reveal who he/she without ever appearing to the person they want to be known too. God never spoke to Muhammad in a dark cave it was an angel ( helper ) and then they say God have no helper 🤔.
In the end treat people as people no matter their race or religion. Jesus words " love your neighbor as you love yourself."

Thoughts on your question that a person needs to be a registered Christian in order to be saved from purgatory.
Judgement is harder on the self proclaimed Christian than it is on the ignorant or innocent…
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

31:10 I would like to explain about this misconception about whoever does not believe Jesus is God will go to hell. There is not a single verse in the entire Bible which verifies this absurd view. There are places in the world where the people have not had a chance to hear about Jesus, so are they all going to hell? Of course not, the Bible says there are different places in eternity where Christians will go, where non-Christians who never had the chance to hear about the gospel message but have done good deeds will go and where all the evil doers will go.
God gives humanity a free gift called "Salvation" and it is up to you to receive it or not, God will not force you to accept it, you have to receive it willingly then you can go to heaven where God dwells. If you exercise your free will to reject this free gift then you have made your choice to be separated from God for all eternity and after this life ends no changes can be made your decision will be permanent. However, while we are still alive we have the options to change our mind to make the right choice, every day is another chance given for us to make the right choice. On Judgement Day there can be no excuse given saying I didn't know, or I didn't have a chance to make the right choice. God is a righteous judge and he will accept your choice and give you what you wanted either to be with him eternally or be separated from him eternally. And for those who never had the chance to hear about the free gift of salvation, they will be judged according to their deeds and if they had lived a righteous life according to their conscience then they will go to heaven and if they lived a life that is not righteous, they will go to hell.
This life is short and tomorrow is not promised for anyone, make the right choice. The Bible says “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6), “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2) “To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts” (Hebrews 3:15). Today He lovingly pleads with you: “come unto Me… and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). BELIEVE what Jesus has done for you on the cross “He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47).

This is why i said in one of my comments on your other podcast how Muslims have made a hash of the true meaning of Islam. Its a joke! A Muslim leader should give rights to all citizens under his/her rule. Religious rights, socio/economic rights. And an employer must pay the worker before his sweat has dried.
