Manufacturers should state maximum insertion on sizing charts. Also, spec the droppers that have adjustability! Easy as that :)

Really good point! With all the geometry charts, this is useful info that could live there.

I just watched his video about his manufacturing and I was so impressed that he offers 12 size options. I already loved him for his riding, but now it's a whole new level that's in the magnitude scale

Very appropriate convo at the end. My bike came with a 170 dropper and I l have a 210 being shipped to me now. Rode it with the 170 for a year, finally bit* the bullet. And it's a size XL!
edit: read the comments after my posting, apparently I am not alone!

At 6 feet, I can live with 150-170 drop, but need 190 so it's really never in the way. My 470 reach large bike shipped with 150. Def atgree, I rather it came without a dropper.

The small bottle of sealent is really smart. Not many people (def including me) keep the tires topped up. Plus I have a spare set of wheels with XC tires, that I use like once a month. Not going to waste sealent to keep it fresh all the time.

Long droppers are great but when you are in an area where the seat is raised and lowered many times it is very tiring lowering a long dropper. I find I just drop the seat part way and leave it.

Seatpost drop: 2019 XL Trance swapped 150mm for 180mm, max I could fit. 2023 Rail 170mm it came with, max that will fit (but thinking about a 180mm Oneup.........because 10mm more drop @ $40 per mm seems a bargin 😂). If I could fit 200mm+ on both I would.

I never caught a flat tire on Nokian Gazzaladdi 3.5 with 24 inch rims and I broke the swing arm on a drop one time when the shock damping must have malfunctioned and the didn;t allow the shock to cycle in time for a 15 foot landing. They still have the same air in them right now and I'm a crippled old man. Oh, and thanks to Frank I got a custom rear end that nobody else would ever have. Great days they were

1,96 meters tall and I get along with 150 and 170 mm droppers. Anything longer takes a lot of energy getting the ass back up after dropping the saddle.

State of the sport should not have wages for the general public… I have no idea how much wage is required to travel around to races….
