      The existence of a xx60 class low-profile GPU has been pretty much THE DREAM for me for a while now. I'm totally snapping one up to make a lan rig out of it.
      The irony of what you said though, is my main battlestation which utilizes the Sapphire Nitro RX 7900XTX, the thing is ridiculously huge. But it fits EXACTLY in the CoolerMaster NR200P. 😂

    Devyn, I stumbled across your channel and glad I did. I love the small builds you’re showing! I’m a full time RVer and really don’t have room for a full size PC for the gaming I do. These smaller builds are awesome, and you do a super good job showing and explaining your builds. Thank you for that! What would really help, is giving us some idea of the cost of the build at the time of filming. I’ve used the provided links and figured it out, but giving viewers an up front estimated cost would save a little time to watch more of your videos! Just say’n! Great job, Sir! 😎👍🏼

    • @purplegill10
      @purplegill10 Před 6 měsíci

      I've seen reviews of that psu and it seems like it's remarkably high quality for being such a niche product. I'm super thankful they didn't skimp on stuff, but I've yet to see any mainstream reviewers like hardware busters get to it so I can't be fully sure.

      ETA prime almost always goes with the absolute most budget versions when it comes to cases.
      as a itx / sff builder since sandy bridge / ivybridge intel cpus none of his case selections for "sff" has ever really made me interested.

    Another wonderful build, and excellent production quality. So, well done, again, as always! I actually have this exact same case, still in it's box unfortunately. I also have the same power supply and cooler. I've been planning a similar build to yours, but I've been too busy to get it done. So, you beat me to it! I was planning to use the RTX A2000 GPU though. It would have been good if you could have included power consumption numbers, worst case under load. The power supply limit of 250W is quite limited, but it's probably OK since your chosen CPU has is very efficient. That was my main reason for thinking about using an RTX A2000, as it's TPU is only 70W. My main aim is to built a PC that will be used mainly for work with the ability for occasional gaming, so I wanted to focus the available power to the CPU. I really like this PSU, as it is extremely small and yet it has passive cooling and is therefore silent in operation. Compared to, say a flex ATX PSU that is also small but relatively noisy. My only other comment I have is about the power button. The fact that the smaller power button isn't flush with the case is a bit of a bummer. I was wondering if it would help if you added a spacer (like a plastic washer or something similar) between the smaller power button and the plastic adaptor that you have taped to the case. That might help to raise the power button so that is becomes flush with the case. If that works, it would be a big improvement IMO. It might be just me, but I'm a bit OCD when it comes to things like that lol. Great job though, love your work!

    That “slightly recessed” button is actually pretty slick!
    Where would someone get one of those smaller power buttons? Did it come with the case?
    This is the kind of thing I’m looking to do. I’ve got an R5 8600G right now, in a knock-off A01 case, but I’d like slightly bigger to have a dedicated gpu. My 3080Ti is too big for any of these attempts, so I need something much more low profile (I’m a trucker and trying to get the smallest system I can get without resorting to a potato).

    I've been thinking about getting one for my homelab for transcoding and pci passthrough. Sff LP cards are so hard to come by. So even the crappy 4060 looks much better just having an LP option. Plus the efficiency shines in this area.

  • @mcdazz2011
    @mcdazz2011 Před 8 měsíci +3

    That's actually a really nice SFF case and nothing seems to be jammed in, which is usually the situation with cables in larger cases.
    All up, pretty nice.
    I looked into the using the iPad as a monitor, but the iPad needs to support USB-C plus a particular IOS version, so older iPads with lighting ports aren't able to be used.

  • @Trusteft
    @Trusteft Před 8 měsíci +3

    Good build and just wonderful to see the 4060 in such a small factor.
    I was in favor of the card since day 1 as the power consumption to performance ratio is just fantastic for 2023. The price should be lower, but otherwise awesome card.
    I don't remember seeing another motherboard with a storage slot in the back, although I can't say absolutely not. Interesting idea though as you said, you better populated it the first time lol.
    If I had money and if this case was in a bright color, orange, yellow, red, blue, chrome, something other than black or dark grey or something, I would definitely do it too.
    Thanks for sharing.

    I also put the 4060 LP with i5-12600k into a 4.3L ZS-A4DC v3, a sandwich design case. Enough cooling for my set but the PSU will receive half of the heat from the 4060 and the case was hard to build. This 5.3L case was not as small as the A4DC but the layout is much more user-friendly and can use a larger CPU cooler.

    I wish they'd have extended the IO panel to cover the rear conntections. At 8:42 you can see what I'm talking about, the PCI bracket is just sticking out.
    Really what's gained by doing it this way other than being able to boast a smaller internal volume? The effective external dimensions are the same, and arguably larger since if you were transporting the PC the bracket could snag.
    Really love the use of HDplex's power supply, overall a really interesting case. 95% there IMO.

    I have a tiny (foldable!) desk and I’m looking around for something I can stack on top of my work Mac mini, or slight bigger and stack the Mac on top.
    I was very close to get one of those Minisforums machines but after seeing that for that price you can build a 1080p destroyer, I feel I can’t justify the expense of a mini PC.
    Atm I feel the Fractal Ridge would be the best case, is not that compact in footprint, but I’m thinking could maybe slide under the display or somehow attach under the desk.
    I want something small also to easily move it and attach to the TV. I’d get a new laptop but feel the expense is too much comparatively

    I've always loved big water cooled ATX tower builds but this little card is so cute I want to use it in something. Maybe an old Xbox case or a ammo can PC.

    i love the setup and i always wanted a nice cute ITX system... however the power supply alone costs 170 dollar....

    Hey!
    Would the 500W GaN AIO ATX still allow enough clearance for the NH-L12S used in this build? It looks pretty tight with the 250W one, already.

    Great video! Will 250W PSU suffice for this build, thanks?

    Nice mini air-cooled build, no dumb watercooling. 😁😁

    This is the layout I comeback to after dealing with multiple failed pcie riser cable. Because most itx cases commonly use the sandwich layout, there isn't much option for something like this. I'm considering to build another pc with my old ryzen 5 3600 after upgrading to 5800x3d but just don't want to deal with pcie riser cable anymore.

    It's a shame here in Brazil we don't have access to things like this, because I would definitely make something like this, it's a really amazing build, I keep thinking if I had something like this I would constantly be going to the living room and playing with my sister and Mom, carrying a mid-tower is not practical hahahah

      Infelizmente nosso mercado de ITX e SFF acabou. Eu desisti de procurar, vou para meu segundo Optiplex em breve, o primeiro novo. Inclusive, tirando o fato de perder grande parte da possibilidade de upgrade, o valor é bastante comparável a montar um PC normal, o que não seria o caso numa build itx, que costuma ser tudo mais caro.

      EXATAMENTE! Nosso mercado é muito limitado para coisas assim, é cheio de Case ATX e quase nada ITX... Unica case q eu vi vendendo aqui foi a Cooler Master N200, mas é consideravelmente maior q esta do video

    how is the thermals for this build? There doesn't seems to have a lot of openings on the case to allow air flow
