I legit watched for 24 mins as I was struggling as a Freshman! Love from another Wolverine CZcamsr!
Thank you! Go Blue!
The weather is such a pro for me 😅
Super informative!
Love to hear it
I love UM sports. I always watch football, basketball, hockey, and baseball.
900
Michigan weather in general is all over the place. 90 today and 60 by the weekend.
I love the restaurants in Ann Arbor. Blue Tractor barbeque restaurant and Los Amigos Mexican restaurant are my favorites in Ann Arbor.
I haven't been to those yet but I'll add them to my list!
so true abt the textbook
Are dorm assignments random or is there any way to improve your chances of central campus for freshmen?
Random. czcams.com/video/l94R07GZ-6M/video.html
is it safe? I got into UMich, but am kinda concerned about safety.
I would say AA if fairly safe! There haven't really been big issues, a few times there was like a house break in or something but nothing bad I dont think
I was considering transferring to UMich. However, after watching this video, you confirmed that I don't really want to go.
Hahahah it's not for everyone!
Great vid
Also it wouldn’t be a maddy Kim video without food mentioned
Hi, What a wonderful review! But I have a concern, many people say that Ann Arbor is not safe and crimes occur so often, is that true? Is Ann Arbor safe?
From my experience, Ann Arbor has been very safe! Sure, there is an occasional break into a house in the area, in which you get a notification, but overall I feel very safe. There are blue lights all around campus that when pressed alert authorities, so I have never felt in danger or scared.
Maddy Kim Okay Thanks a lot 🙏
@@MA-yg1fh here is a full log of everything happens in umich police and fire wise www.dpss.umich.edu/content/crime-safety-data/daily-crime-fire-log/ Every college has this idk if it by law or something for any college just search up for example usc safety and u should find a log somwhere
@Wenyu Shi You mean it’s safe?
What do you mean you worked with the gymnastics team? Like as a manager?
I was a student manager for the team last year
@@MaddyKim How does one become a student manager for sports teams?
@@seyibalogun6386 You can reach out to coaches and see if they have a position available
LMAO THE SQUIRRELS visited umich last weekend and they came right up to us😭
Did you get off the waitlist for fall 2020?
No, I applied for Fall 2019 admission and was deferred. czcams.com/video/sWTe1UXJd7A/video.html
I felt like no one ever reads the textbooks as well😂🤷🏻♀️
It's an unspoken rule hahaha
Wait a sec, so youre on summer break from the end of april to beginning of september?
Pretty much! Our winter break is very short (like 2.5 weeks?) compared to other universities. Our Thanksgiving break is only Wed-Sun. This year was different bc covid and we had like 2 months of break (basically thanksgiving to MLK day), and there won't be a spring break, but we are still ending in April.
our summer break is longer than other colleges because umich is a trimester school rather than the typical quarter/regular semester. umich combines spring and summer into one semester
Me : *has lived in San Diego and now up in Seattle*
My cities: rent is 2000$ for a 2 bedroom!!
Maddy: Ann arbor can be expensive
Me: pshhhh
600 for 2 room with 4 people, 2400 for the room
haha, $600x4 = $2400 in a mid-sized midwestern city > Seattle cost. pffft
hey I was wondering if you have a job, how do you provide money for yourself?
I have an on campus job!
@@MaddyKim What do you do, if you don't mind?
@@nishkaawasthi8568 I work at one of the gyms on campus. There are a lot of other opportunities to work at local restaurants, stores, the dining halls, the Union, and more!
@@MaddyKim how much do you get paid if you don’t mind me asking and what job do u do?
@@sexyqueen4481 Most jobs are around $10 and it depends, but you usually clean machines
“super diverse” when there’s only a 4% black population 😂
that’s what i was thinking 😂😂
only diverse if ur white adjacent 😅🥲 im transferring in this fall tho so i pray i find the blacks 💀🫣
