When I was there, mini fridges were like cubes, wayyy smaller than the “mini” fridges allowed in dorms now.
Hi! I know that for going to class for some schools it the norm to wear jeans/dress cute and other schools wear sweats and a sweatshirt. What do people at UM do?
They do both! I've seen people literally look like they rolled out of bed and others in a dress/skirt! It's totally up to you. Don't feel like you're being "judged" if you wear sweatpants or if you wear a nice outfit bc everyone is too tired/stressed to care lol

Hey! Does the university housing provide a mattress and pillow? Or do we have to buy one individually?
Just a mattress, no pillow. Definitely get a mattress topper and all the bedding is Twin XL!

what did you use to hang up your wall decorations that didn't take off paint?
I used command strips to hang up my stuff, but the paint still came off the walls so...

Do you know if the East Quad dorms have microwaves on every floor or not?

What was the size of your dorm? Was it a 12 x 12?
I did not get the measurements but it was not 12 x 12, it was a rectangle. I wouldn't try to find measurements bc pretty much every room on each floor of the dorm is different so just figure it out when you get there
Can you have a microwave in your rooms
You can have a microwave in your room, but there is one on every floor so I didn't think it was necessary. We just had a mini fridge!
@@MaddyKim Thank you for answering me M😍DDY KIM. I'm a concerned M❤️M. One more question how cold are the dorms in the winter? My daughter starts 2022. Do you need heavy blankets?
@@kkristian8350 There is a thermostat in every room so you can easily set the temp, sometimes we set it a little too high in the winter and it ended up being very hot! I just had my comforter and I brought an extra blanket that I used occasionally.
