Rodman was a party animal and a wild card
He really was!
13:45 imagine me watching when these episodes came out live a few years ago. Like “maaaaan I gotta wait a week?” Lol
I feel your pain! 😅
The Spurs were actually really good and went on to win it all in 99 and that was followed by a Lakers threepeat
Thanks for the info 🙏🏼
I think if you guys took a deep dive into the career of Dick Butkus, he might easily top your list of athletes with the most drive and heart. The Chicago Bears and NFL linebacker legend who spent most of his career on losing teams, but played every snap like the other team was trying to hurt his family. Lol he didn't just play for the bears, the man WAS a bear lol
Thanks for this Phillip. We have got Dick Butkus on our list to get to. Appreciate the comment and context 🙏
Back in the day, the first round of the playoffs in the NBA was five games. I forget what year they change that, somewhere in the late 90s early 2000s. The Finals back then was definitely a seven-game series, and I think the other rounds other than the first one were seven games as well
They changed from best of 5 to best of 7 I think in 2002-03ish because more games = more money
The physicality change became really apparent around that time too. Size and strength outweighed talent and finesse on successful teams so the league tried to rebalance the scales in the years after
Thanks for the info 🙏🏼
Theres 82 games in a season to make the playoffs you have to a 500. Record. 8 teams from each conference our ranked based on record With 4 rounds the 1st round consist of the 1st seed vs the 8th seed, 2nd vs 7th and so on. The finals are the west conference team that won the 3rd round vs the east conference team that won the third round. Each round is a best of 7 series. Although back in mj's time the 1st round was a best of 5
Hey Ballotelli forgive my spelling, assisted one of the greatest goals in man city history.. doesn’t matter anything else he did
Dennis got picked up by some white farm family in Oklahoma that took him in for a bit actually. He’s had a troubled life
As you now know, Rodman was in Vegas. They knocked on his hotel door and he was in bed with Baywatch actress Carmen Electra. 👙
You're telling them what they already knew?
Love these reactions.
Thanks Christopher 🙏
Rodman was from Detroit Pistons and did poorly after being traded from the San Antonio Spurs. MJ’s father was murdered and he quit basketball for a year and a half and then went back to the Bulls. Rodman came in in 95/96 and Pippen didn’t want him because he had been vicious when he played with Detroit.
Thank you for the breakdown and info. I thought with Rodman coming in it may not have originally been an overly popular move
Dennis didn’t do drugs but hella fukin alcohol and sex.. wrecked a motorcycle drunk fukd up his knees ended whatever career he had left at that point..
Bad Boys Detroit Pistons won NBA Championships back to back Sweep Lakers 1989 and Defeat Portland Trail blazers 4-1 in 1990
Thanks for the context 😀

If you guys are picking great competitors, don't leave out Larry Bird.
Seen lots of Bird on our Patreon and hopefully can get cut versions cleared for CZcams. Getting these onto CZcams is so so hard 😅
I think the problem with the NBA today is they don't hate losing. They love to win but back in the day they hated losing.
Interesting spin on this Tim. Appreciate the comment!
