The extension housing cracks due to a vibration from a bad u-joint or rear drive shaft is out of balance. If you replace the housing without having the driveshaft rebalanced and u-joints checked or replaced it will crack again.
Thanks, would it crack from a front driveshaft out of balance or bad ujoints? I replace front/back joints on the rear shaft. It seems to be ok for now. Man it’s always something! This is a AWD truck
