    I just started following you a few months ago, and I'm so happy that I did. I have a pretty decent gym at home but needed guidance on positioning, form, and the do's and don't s of lifting. I've worked out, on and off for about 30 years. I really needed a Jumpstart after a cancer diagnosis, surgery and treatment. I found I was losing a lot of muscle and being in my mid 50s was not helping. Your approach and detailed explanation of each exercise is like no one else I've seen online or in person. I really enjoy the pre-workout talk that you give as well. My gains have been unbelievable! I've never seen such an extreme transformation of myself in such a short time. Like you say, perfect practice makes perfect....and you are the best instructor!!! Thank you so very much!!!

    I am incorporating these into my workout as this is my second chest, shoulder tricep day of the week! I always recommend you to my FB friends who are new to exercising, I tell them no one describes the movements, hand placement, etc better than Erin Stern!

    I was surprised you didn’t use a lateral raise for this program … I think you have used it in past shoulder programs. Have you changed your thinking?

    Love your videos. Could you show some exercises for hamstrings if you have a bad back or herniated disc? I feel my hamstrings are really weak, but dead lifts are not something I can do right now.

      Great suggestion! I include alternatives with most of my programs. My FIT from Home program is a good one if you don't have all the equipment/machines. Depending on your goals, some of my other programs include gym & home options.

    I've never seen upright rows done the way you demonstrated, Erin! I've always done them holding the weight in front of my body, and lifting from there. But I like how you did the lift from the side. That would engage more side delts, wouldn't it?
    I work out at home and don't have barbells, but I'm thinking I could do this exercise just as well with dumbbells.
    Thanks for a new (for me) exercise idea for shoulders! 😊

    Hi Erin, I'm looking at your training programs on your website and trying to figure out which program would be best for my body type. I'm an ectomorph and have been told I should train full body 3 times a week and not do any cardio. I'm looking to add curves and a booty. Can you point me in the right direction?     Are there any pros or cons to a smith press that is slightly angled and not straight up and down?

    Due to a shoulder injury, I can no longer do overhead presses. Could you recommend an exercise that would still build the front shoulder

      Do it leaning. You can lay on a bench chest down and do light weight plate raises from that position? I use a landmine and usually don’t have a problem due to the angle change. I tore my AC joint years ago and still have to modify. Can’t do pushups either.

      Bench inclined every single time now for me. Had an awful shoulder injury that would not heal. Laid off weights for 3 months felt really down with it so started slowly and progressed to heavier weights now as long as I have the floor/bench for support 😁💪🏻

    The smiths machine at our local gym is a 900 lb so heavy even with no weights .. so what’s alternative

      That's heavy with no weight on it! 🤨 I would recommend Dumbbells and EZ bars.
