In 2007 when Serbia won with a ballad, 95% were all tempo songs and Serbia stood out. If it qualifies it could be more preciated with jury than public.

Konstrakta sang about us always wanting something new and better when everything is actually the same, we are going circles. Hence the similar staging.

Ramonda Serbica is endemic flower in Serbia which symbolises recovery from great losses of the nation in WWI, but also on the personal level after great challenges. The flower has a characteristic to rise like phoenix after drought. You just have to pour a little water and the flower recovers. The rock on which she sits initially symbolizes the island of Corfu where the Serbian army found refuge after retreating through Albania and subsequently managed to liberate our country with the Allies.
At the end whatever happens at Eurovision this year I wish all the people suffering in current warfares to rise like Ramonda.
And trivia at the end of comment. Scientists from the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering are trying to use the flower in treatment of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's desease because it has sort of protein that potentially can stop the process in human brain that is the cause of these desease. This has a scientific explanation but it's to complicated for me to explain it. 😂

The song "Ramonda" by Teya takes its name from the "Ramonda serbica" flower, which is found mainly in Serbia and nearby regions. This flower, discovered by a Serbian scientist in 1884, has a remarkable ability to revive even after completely drying out, earning it the nickname "the phoenix flower." Similarly, Natalie's Ramonda, a close relative of the same genus, is known in Serbia as "Natalijina ramonda" after Queen Natalija Obrenović. It became a symbol of victory in World War I, representing Serbia's resilience after losing nearly a third of its population.
The song explores themes of loneliness and the resilience to bounce back from adversity, mirroring the Ramonda flower's ability to revive with just a drop of water. The official video clip includes a quote from the Gospel of John, emphasising the enduring power of light over darkness.
The island featured in the video represents Corfu, Greece, where Serbian soldiers found refuge during World War I after facing dire circumstances. Greece provided Serbia with essential support, although many perished upon arrival and were laid to rest at sea. This aspect of the song serves as a poignant tribute to ancestors who overcame overwhelming odds.

T.Dora was my N2 but my winner was amazing ZORJA with outstanding song "IMAGE IN THE MIRROR" ....pitty she won't be able to show her talent, the song has that WOW MOMENT,which many of the audience espect..."RAMONDA" is nice but there isn't so obvious drama and WOW MOMENT as in Zorja's song

I am glad Mr. Ward likes Zejna. She is very talented singer.
Konstrakta is a postmodernist queen. She is the master of deKonstrakting and reKonstrakting. Her song is basically a Marxist critique of neoliberal capitalism and consumerism. Her staging was great full of symbols like two Biblical scenes used by like dozens of Renaissance and Baroque painters from Caravaggio to Rubens (The Calling of St Matthew and Adoration of the Shepherds). But, she wouldn't be able to repeat the result from 2020 because it's that demanding.

Ovo ostrvo na pocetku videa u pesmi simbolizuje ostvo Krf u Grčkoj tako da je ovo pesma koja je delom obuhvata grčko/srpsku istoriju u toku 1.svetskog rata. ❤
