Thank you for this great video! I’m waiting for the hexalock for my Mauser M12 and I had heard bad comments about the installation of the Hexalock mounts (screws broken by applying the excessive force recommended in the manual), but I already have a very good idea of how to do it..thanks to you!
Very useful video. Clear and simple explanations . I have Sauer 101 Forest XT .308win and l’m going to use your experience to mount my own Hexalock. Thank you very much. Keep going and take a care of yourself.
@@foresighthunting9215 Berny, thanks for this video. Can you give me an idea how to adjust the close the way it won't slip over the close point? There's a conus inside that should press the base part to the ring part during switching the lever. On one lock it works good, the other lever slips and gains not the needed stability.
The hexalock doesn't line up, how do you change the angle they mount at - it came with that thin tool but it doesn't do anything to adjust - any video's on that?
Hi. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Maybe you will be able solve also another issue :). I just got, second hand Mauser Hexalock, and it is not so tight when locked on base. I am guessing there is a possibility to adjust tighteness, and maybe you are familiar with solution of such a problem?
It is definitively adjustable. You will need a torx 25 bit and a 2mm pin that should have been in the kit. Unfortunately i could not find a manual with picures that shows the process. It should not be to hard to figure out tho, you just need to thighten up the lever on the part that stays on the scope.
@@lobster8009 Thank you. I did not get the 2mm pin with the mount apparently. The are some pictures on the net with the adjustment instructions so now I understand the process... but don't have the pin, and I don't have any idea what is the shape of it (like round, square, torx, etc...)
@@koowaalskiopcje5576 I dont actualy own one of these mounts.... yet. But as far as i can tell its just a round pin. The smooth end of a 2mm Drill or perhaps even a nail should do the job just fine.
Servus! Was hältst du davon? Gruß
Excellent tutorial my Germanic friend ! Greetings from Australia .
Thank you 👍🏻
Great Job!

Aus Is,,, Great Video... Thank you for posting
Sehr gutes Video:)
Greeting! Great video... You explained everything really well.
Can you tell us more about it, which mount height do you use for which optics?

All I know from watching this, I would never give this knob any of my guns to work on. I guess wearing gloves makes you an expert 😂😂😂
Cuál es la presión de apriete de las bases y de las anillas? Gracias
Wie heißt das gelbe Gestell, auf dem die Waffe liegt?
That is a great looking stock, what model is it? I have a Sauer 100 XT in 308. Cheers from Australia

Ich nehme immer Uhu Endfest für die Ringe am Glas zu befestigen da ich mit den Gummihandschuhen keine guten Erfahrungen gemacht habe.

Er..... Degrease not decrease.
I have just mounted this Hexalock and Blaser scope on my friend's Mauser M18 rifle.
I would never buy this mount for any of my rifles.
Has to be my least favorite mount
