Thanks from India.i am 57 had acute anxiety since I was 25 .I find your symptoms similar to mine.i am on lexapro 20 and ambien 12.5 since nothing will make me fall asleep. I wish everything works well for you.
Problem is waking up at 3 am and then awake for the rest of the day. Had about 2 months of this and I’m currently in a psychiatric unit with severe depression
Oh man. Once you have taken ambien nothing compares!!! I have been in ambien for almost 18 years and cannot get off it.
Thanks for sharing! I am in the same boat. Ambien 18 years. Nothing else helps. Now my dr has me on seroquel too to see if I can wean off Ambien. I can’t. I also am hypothyroid and that has been what started this whole dependence.
@@bjamngirlwhy to wean off a benzo to get on an antipsychotic for sleep?
@@Elektra_7 it’s the stigma on Ambien that is their fear. And now Seroquel helps with sleep at low doses according to the claim. It doesn’t for me. But anything over 50 mg of Seroquel makes me groggy the next day.

@@bjamngirl do you mind me asking what dose after 18 years guanteed you sleep? And your regular dose? And if the recommended dose you are in is enough for sleep? Thanks! I’m sick of half asses meds. I would happily be on one for life now ad it’s been years but they tell me after 2/3 years it’s in effective? Which clearly by comments such as yours is not true!
Pregabiline is really good for sleep
Personally the trazodone makes me a groggy the next day as seroquel
I tried ambien, rivotril several years and I came off thanks to a addiction center. Now I take trazodone for sleep and it's good! Not addicting, wake up good, sleep 8-9 hours. It's the extended release.
I've tried antipsicotics but I dislike them so much
What do you do to sleep 9 hours?
I took fluvoxamine but I was sleepy all the day and I could't focus on things
How do i ask doc ro give me ambien isuffering Quetiapine is not doing it
Does the grogginess feel the way taking a 10mg Flexirel before bed ??

I get zero sleep, so id take some next day tiredness. Im starting at 25MG.
Have you tried Mirtazapine for sleep? far less side effects than Seroq & Trazo and is used in conjunction with SSRis quite frequently.
Isn’t mirtazapine basically the same as qutiapiene though? It hits pretty much the same receptors?
@@j-uk2189 I am not sure, but what I do know is that Mirtazapine hits the Histamine receptors I think they're H2 receptors, whereas Quetiapine/Seroquel is an anti-psychotic medication Mirtazapine is not.
