- What IRCC accepts as proof of Funds?
Funds must be readily available to you. For example, you can't use gold or equity on real property as proof of settlement funds.
You also can’t borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they aren’t coming with you).
If your spouse is coming with you, you can count the money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money.
The funds must be available both when you apply and when (if) we issue you a permanent resident visa. You must prove to an immigration officer that you can legally access the money to use here when you arrive.
For proof, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you’re keeping money.

Hi Sir…Thanks for sharing another very informative video..really helps analyse things and decide…just one query based on what you mentioned in the video, how does one prove to the Govt. that if there are liabilities one needs to clear one is capable of that and also has proof of funds? I will elaborate this for myself, I have taken PLs to complete my payments of visa fees and miscellaneous expenses related to the process as I do not make that much back here in India.. so how would this actually work for me and will this jeopardise my application as I have one through a job nomination for Alberta..request you to kindly revert on the same..

Sir me and my wife maintain a joint account in SBI with the funds as required per IRCC norms (around 10 plus). But I also have a car loan from SBI from a different branch. Do I need to disclose the car loan also? SBI has given me a bank letter which does not mention the loan. Will it affect my application in a bad way and allude any misrepresentation?

Sir, I have opened a Joint account for SINP. I have transferred the Required amount ( 1050000) from my salary account to Joint Account and created an FD. now the account has something around 5000 as savings. so now if we take the average balance, it will be 5000. would this cause any issues ?

Indian bank dont authorize to give avarage balance on balance certificate. They have predefines format for such certificate. In this case - should person submit 6 months of bank statement?

If they can obtain a document that states the funds available on demand and without restrictions then they may be able to use them

Hello Sir.
I have 2 bank accounts and previously I have my funds in one of the banks but after some time I had an issue with their services and staff so I transferred my funds to my second account in the second bank.
I had funds in the previous bank from more than a year but currently where I transferred my funds are just 3 months old.
Now the question is Do I need to submit valid documentation for my other bank account too (like transactions to recent bank account) or just this bank's documents are enough ?

Hi Kubeir, I have received COPR and needs to transfer funds to Canada before landing. I am thinking of opening online international account in Scotiabank from Pakistan before going. It allows one time transaction from other countries n then freezes account before you reach. Can you share if its a safe option?

If spouse accompanying then it's not an issue. If funds appeared in the account within the last 6 months then provide source of those funds

I am currently in Canada on a work permit (PGWP). I have not completed 1 year work experience as I have just started working. Nevertheless, my score is high enough that I am expecting to receive an invitation in the next 2 months as a FSW applicant.
My questions are:
1) Does the average amount for 6 months in my bank account have to be $13,500 or if total amount is equal or more than 13,500 is alright?
2) Do I need to also disclose my ongoing loans and liabilities that I have in my home country if I have sufficient funds within Canada?

Technically those funds are for your settlement in Canada and hence you shud maintain them until you arrive in Canada

I would like to know about the proof of funds for FSW express entry, I saw it on the IRCC website that if we want to apply via FSW for PR there is a requirement of around 13k cad in the account for one individual, is this strictly followed ? what if I have only 6k cad in my account but I am fulfilling other criteria . Will that be acceptable? I did my masters from Canada and have 2 years work experience in India before masters also my current bank account is in Canada and currently on work permit status but due to some circumstances I had to come back to India , so I thought if I can apply for FSW from here itself but was confused regarding proof of funds like is it mandatory to have funds almost as mentioned on the website for single person and no dependents. I really want to know about this. Could you please help me out regarding this information. Thank you.

I have PGWP n doind job from last 11 months, i am going on PAID VACATIONS for 1 month to India. Am i eligible for CEC express entry after vacation. It can be considered 12 months experience.
Usually IRCC may consider upto 2 weeks of paid vacation as part of the work experience
