Oh there is sing and sang. This is the difference from every other singer. There are no male country singers like Chris. I listen to lots music but few can sang... Like when everyone can here that they are great. Not just a sub group of non mainstream people.

@@carmella83 there is a lot of country that is blues inspired. That's what people apparently dont get. Music has always evolved into other genres with many influencing the next. There are a lot of country songs ruth the mix of blues, soul, rock, r&b, hip hop, etc etc just like in other genres you find the same thing. It's why the idea that one tye of music belongs to one kind of person. This is a country song though. Maybe not what you think of as country but still.
If y'all don't get it, you don't get it. And that's fair. But don't shit all over the artistry.

If you REALLY want to hear him SANGIN' then you need to check out Chris singing James Brown's Man's world! (Make sure you check out the reactions from the band he's singing with) they are blown away. Not sure how he ended up singing with them but it's amazing and James is definitely smiling.
I think this is my favorite reaction video. Chris Stapleton has claimed another fan. I can’t stand country music but his bluesy soulful voice is absolutely amazing. I really busted out laughing at “on my porch and shot my dawg”!

First of all it always baffles me how many people are so closed minded when it comes to True Country music. They see a cowboy hat or a beard. Hear a steel guitar or some twang and think they won’t like it. Why? Why keep yourself so closed to good music. This IS NOT the only country music that’s fantastic. Chis is amazing and is getting his due and it’s 100% deserving. I just hope it’s a stepping stone to shattering simple minds not even listening to Country Music, when so much of it is outstanding. Real vocals, no auto tune, musicians playing instruments, wholesome lyrics, harmonies, proud to be American, values and pride. This is what makes music wonderful. It shouldn’t be a race thing. It should be a “good music” crossing all boundaries thing. 😀

If this man doesn't win the awards for country song of the year then I'll never listen to country music ever again in my life. Chris Stapleton has wrote music for a lot of musicians. This was one of the songs he decided to keep and sing himself he didn't think he was a good singer but boy was he wrong. He's not a good singer he is a great singer there is a big difference and I'm glad he didn't give this song to anyone else and decided to keep it and sing it himself. Because no one can sing this song like him.
I grew up outside of Baltimore. so, I understood how certain people just didn't listen to things that, honestly back then you'd have been picked on for stepping outside of the box, and it warms my heart to no end seeing these videos, music, every genre, it's for everybody, and shouldn't be used to make anyone feel bad or be claimed by one group of people.
I truly love this reaction... don't put country music into a box... there's so much more to country music than what you think and here is a prime example ... Chris's voice is amazing his guitar playing is amazing.. but give some props to his wife.. Morgane.. perfect harmony.

I'm not into a lot of Country. Someone said listen to this song.....I was thinking this isn't going to be great....no way! I do like some Country .....not many. The first few bars was great .....but I knew song would be dull or same ole words!! Man......was I ever sooooo grateful to person who suggested......I'd never heard it!! All I ever heard was George Jones’s version before Chris came out with his. Never heard David Allen Coes version. I’m a big fan of George’s version with Chris’s a close second. I just love the old country compared to today’s country because it’s what I grew up with. Glad to hear some more traditionalists coming out now days. Makes me feel kinda nostalgic.

This is a very old song, I grew up on George Jones singing it. It is a great song, not totally easy to sing, you should give George a listen, just for comparison. I believe Jones sang three octaves, which is awesome, any genre.
