If you want accuracy on your new machine, you should scrape that table for alignment and bearing. If the ways aren't smooth, it'll always feel terrible. If the ways aren't straight, it'll never be accurate. If the ways aren't parallel and un-twisted, accuracy will suffer. It sounds harder than it actually is. You'll need a surface plate. First, make a straightedge with a 45-degree bevel. You'll also need a surface gage and indicator...

Thanks for the comment! Maybe I will look into scraping the table indeed. I currently have the materials nor the skills to do so but I would like to learn scraping.

Hi is it possible to control x and y axis by a motor? Like cnc?

One of my goals with the new machine I am building currently is to make it (semi) CNC, I am pretty sure it is possible but you just need to figure out some motor mounts and expect some backlash with the original leadscrews.

    What measure its that table

The table surface is somewhere around 450x170mm (17,7x 6,7 In) it appears quite small but I think it is sufficient for my plans. I can always upgrade to a bigger table, it all bolts on.

@@EngineerSteve I was thinking to get one and convert it in a cnc but the working area seems to small sadly. It's would come out a beatiful cnc

@@ivangamer8022 I recommend going to Amazon, where this table is from. They have the same table in bigger sizes as well. The only problem is that these tables need a rebuild straight from the factory (and scraping the ways wouldn't hurt as well, that too is on my list)
