Running Landing - This is a reference video of unedited footage from inside the cockpit during a shallow approach to a running landing in an R22 helicopter.
Yeah it can happen, depends on surface, condition of skid shoes, tail wind, aircraft weight etc. Need to find a nice balance between sliding and stopping without risking catching a skid and rocking forward (blade strike). I saw one like that once - missed the blade hitting the runway by inches.
