- The Ducati Diavel has gone V4! We flew to the United Arab Emirates to test out the third generation of the Diavel story and the first to feature the V4 Grantourismo engine. It's one heck of a motorcycle!

I’ve seen the 1260 Diavel in my dealer and I’ve never taken to it. However, this model looks great. I think I’m starting to get it. That road looks sick! I heard it’s man made. What?! Maybe someday I’ll get a Diavel! Right now I’m totally addicted to my Multistrada V4S. The engine and suspension are so incredible. Anyway, thank you for the great footage. Seeing you chase the test rider was wow. That dude has a sick helmet. Never thought I’d want a helmet like that either but it goes with the bike. Yet another Ducati bike to lust after. Thank you -you’ve got a great life!
great stuff. I remember your report of the Multi-V4 out in Borrego, what a thrashing it delivered, no surprise Ducati had you back! thanks for the first look, the spitfire exhaust looks the business too.
Man I wish we had one on the test bike! It looks so damn cool.
Best review on this bike so far; lots of great detail. Many of the other reviewers spent all the review talking about the fun of the launch ride and forgot about reviewing the bike 🙂
Thanks, Timothy.
Big fan of your insights and delivery👍. Incredible what the Diavel is capable of.
Thank you kindly!
Good stuff mate, keep it up Renny! Gass !!
I find it surprising how after 11 years of the diavel including the 1260, that people are shocked as to how good the new diavel handles.
Its great how they have bought back the original fold away rear foot pegs. The 1260 diavel had fixed ones which looked wrong.
There should be a stealth black color option!
Do the exhaust (22 pounds) and a lithium battery and it is a less than 500- pound power cruiser--with even more power from the pipe. It's expensive but Harleys can cost more..
Good point
Thanks Rennie for an informative review. How would you stack rank the Streetfighter and this new Diavel for us non-racers not interested in the Panigale but still wanting to experience Ducati’s best?
Thanks, Paul. The Diavel is a much more relaxed bike. It's more practical than a Streetfighter, which is on the extreme end of nakedbikes and basically a naked Panigale. The Diavel is plenty comfortable as well, something you might not think with the seat height the way it is. Definitely worth a look if you're just solely cruising around the street.
When are bike journalist going to understand that the XDiavel is NOT a Diavel. It is a completely different bike.
I'd still rather have the 2024 bmw M1000 XR that is coming out this year :)
The old bike was the 1260. Has there been a displacement change ?
Yeah. It's now a V4 and it's 1158cc
Ergonomically I would say no, but everything else is wow 🎉. Pretty cool, very impressive and just plain…wow! 👍🤪🇨🇦
It might be different up there, but here in Oz Ducati still mandate yearly services and a really expensive cam belt service every two years no matter how many miles you cover.
So the extended service intervals are as initially appealing as they seem.
Before I bought my current Beemer, I looked at a Ducati Monster, but the ownership costs are literally triple the cost of BMW.
I'm fairly sure that this new V4 has timing chains, not belts, and I know there's no desmo.
@@MadChalet ooh, I knew it lost the Desmo but I didn't know about chains.
That really changes things. I'm sure the Ducati dealers here will find another way to shaft us though.
@@1MrBryn They may be learning that Desmo, as sexy as it may seem, isn't very practical for the average rider and their bank acct. Although it seems that Ducati as become a 'premium brand.'
Ducati and Akra exhaust r getting more expensive wait a few months for arrow or other to come up with alternatives
Easily the prettiest Diavel yet.
Might I say 'Monster' like? 🧟♂
Funny you should say that. Ducati are privately calling this the Mega Monster... ;)
@@cyclenews lol!
That highway looked so alluring 🙂

That was amazing!!
Sad that your friend was holding up the Pikes Peak Champion 😎
I saw him wiggle the rear near the end....you just know he was pushing it!
Good times, Rennie
'Neal' in OKC is the name.....the YouthTube keeps cancelling me, because I dont conform
oh well
@@joeblow5037 Not holding me up. I was slowing him down!
Spitfire, Bomber??? Give yourself an uppercut cause the Spitfire was a fighter.
Fair. Uppercut delivered.
And cylinder deactivation. On a Ducati. Really? No thanks.
