I've never thought to use cheese tortellini in a pasta salad! We have pasta salad all kinds of ways during the summer as a cold, refreshing side. I am DEFINITELY trying this! Genius! 🥰
One of my family’s favorite salads is a broccoli tortellini salad. I put blanched broccoli, red onion, tortellini, bacon bits and pumpkin seeds in a basic coleslaw type dressing... they love it! I use frozen, fresh or even dried boxed tortellini... they all work!
I had never bought tortellini until I started watching your channel . . . I know, what kind of rock was I under? But thanks for inspiring me to come into the tortellin light! 😃
I love this stuff. Super easy to use. I make a meatball tortellini soup that is super budget friendly. ♥️ Oh and I wait for Italian sausage to go on sale and I'll make a ton of meatballs for the freezer.
Im overwhelmed by the idea of making meatballs just for dinner one night (it's not hard, don't know why it seems like such a big deal) but batch cooking them for the freezer sounds a lot better. I really don't like the frozen kind from the store.
@@rebeccaramsey1274 me neither, the frozen ones are just blah. I'll use some hot Italian sausage just to give a hint of spicy, use a KitchenAid mixer to mix all together and then scoop scoop scoop, bake, bag then in freezer. 😂😂 Makes it so not a stresser! Only problem is keeping the family from stealing them from the freezer. Lol
That looks so good. I wish I could use it, but my father in law hates cheese. He's a trooper and puts up with most of the stuff I make, but man does it reduce our meal possibilities.
I love these ideas. I use those bags to make a quick meal, but it's usually pasta sauce, some ground beef and baked. I will try some of these. Thank you!
Trying out tortillini sheet pan meal here in a few. Was able to use up peppers, broccoli, half an Onion, and some mini potatoes that all needed to be used ASAP. Thanks for the idea!
What an awesome idea to use tortellini. We love the three color tortellini from Costco. It's really economical and tasty. My daughter loves it with Alfredo sauce. Thank you so much for the original content and great ideas. I find it so inspirational. Thank you also for time stamping the video to make the recipes easy to find ❤️

TJs $1.99 organic cayenne, their spices are more fresh and fragrant than great value. for bulk, Natural Grocers is the best value. comes in a bag and you put it in container. a few bucks for a large bag.
Thank you so much for these amazing recipes using tortellini and simple ingredients. I cant wait for my broken wrist to heal so that I can make a few of them.
Yyaaayyy, one of my fave after-work treats - a glass of wine while watching a SMM vid!!! I've never seen yellow gouda cheese before, that's interest! One of my favorite refrigerated pasta is butternut squash ravioli in the fall. And the Rana brand of ravioli in the chicken/garlic flavor. I typically don't buy tortellini, but you've inspired me to try it again!
Love me some Gouda!! The best grilled cheese ever is a slice of provolone, munster, havardi and gouda. You have your cheese for flavor and your cheese for that cheese pull! It is great with tomato soup or that sausage tortellini soup. I always make the soup but, it would be excellent as a pasta with the zucchini. I get the pre-cooked Italian pizza sausage for my Sam's Club (OKC) and I use it anywhere I would the other sausage. I do buy the other but, the pre-cooked is nice because I know there will not be any shrinkage. Between this, a couple cans of Italian tomatoes and some dried tortellini you have an excellent pantry meal.
That's an interesting take on pasta salad which I will definitely try. I never know how to make pasta salad without using a ton of mayonnaise so this will make a nice change. Thanks for the tip! :)
So I had never even thought about frozen tortellini until I saw you use it. Now I buy it at least once a month and use portions if the bag for different preparations. It’s just me so this is a versital product at a great price.
Just another quick tip-check out your local Dollar Tree in the frozen section. I have found smaller bags of cheese filled ravioli there. It's very good. Perfect size for 2 people.
I love your blue sweatshirt with the ruffles on the sleeve. Where did you get it? And thanks for the ideas for tortellini. I will have to give it a shot.
This comment is totally unrelated. 🙂 Just did my own personal 5 day challenge "Eat from Fridge only". It needed cleaning out (understatement). So redoing leftovers and using a little of this and a little of that, We had 3 meals a day for 5 days. YAY! Fridge decluttered. Did not touch my freezer or my prepped pantry. Wait, you can put frozen tortellini in the oven? This is gold! I highly enjoy your videos! I have shaved off $100-145 dollars in following your meals and cooking from my pantry. Thank you for all the tips and ideas!
When it comes to pasta salads, they are unpredictable. Sometimes they gobble them up and other times they act like they’ve never seen or eaten out before. Lol!
What is the recipe that used a can of minestrone soup? I bought the ingredients a month ago but can’t find the video! I really loved the video you did with convenience food, I would really love more that used the microwave! I have elderly family members who find oven and stove top cooking difficult and I would love to give them more healthy microwave-based meals based on your good sense of food combinations! Thanks!
Hey Mindy, everything looks great. Funny thing, I put on your video while eating my dinner and it just so happened I had made chicken tortellini soup lol
Whenever I make a one-pot pasta dish and it seems a bit to runny, I add half a brick of cream cheese. Not sure why, but that seems to soak up a ton of liquid.
