The lead vocal isn't singing he is radiating the vocal. He feels the music. Every time I see him sing. It feels like he is singing for his life. You can tell he inspired his bandmates they feel it too.

they put everything into it, they are very good but with this 'cover' it's taken a very big swerve from the original riff and melody, but ultimately the song is a desperate plea to his girl not to do what she is gonna do and his voice supported by the backing certainly shares the feeling. I like this band very much from what i have seen so far, though, i reluctantly wanted to hear more of the original melody in the 'cover', it's a classic from around 1980, some exceptionally good song writing going on then here in the UK, the time slightly past the peak of punk and towards the dawn of new romantic, but having said that it was an awesome time any music goes era really

He looked more mysterious and unpredictable, which I think was a likeable trait when he had a shaved head. Looks like a rich boy on a gap year from uni learning “culture” and telling people how much of an eye opening experience it was when he gets back now.
This is what a true cover is. Not playing a song note for note but putting your own style and flavor into it. I feel the soul.
