This song may be my absolute favorite. It’s haunting and hopeful. I love all of the harmonies as they come and go. This song, with no beat boxing or bass beats, shows us yet again that every member of this group has a beautiful voice. All five are so very talented. I can’t get enough of them.

This was originally recorded by the group called The Rescues. The original did not have a bass arrangement. It was all high voices. It is pretty, but PTXs version with Matt and Kevin is beautiful as you’ve already said. Thank you for reacting to it.

This is not an original, Scott said they all loved this song for many years and meant to do their rendition shortly after they won the Sing-Off, but somehow it didn't happen uptill now. So they are glad, they finally did it. But he added, that this song was an inspiration for their original Run to you - you can definitely find a resemblence in the feel of the song 🙂
I think it interesting how they pull this together. Standing in a close circle with their eyes closed, feeling and listening to the others sing. Most of us can't stay on our own track if someone standing near is singing something else but these guys don't use visual clues for their timing, they listen for it. They are so gifted.
I mean scott mitch and kirstin have been singing together since high school so that helps

The concert on BYUtv was so good...between most of the songs, they tucked little gems of video clips featuring each of the guys sharing holiday memories.
It was really awesome, and the best sound and video I have come across!

Never heard this song before, but it has beautiful lyrics. This was a Christmas concert on TV.
Such talent on that stage! Scott said this song inspired their original Run To You. Makes perfect sense. Both slow heart string pulling ballads with 5 part harmonies.
Excellent reaction Dennis! I totally agree with the "haunting yet soothing kind of feel" description. It blows my mind how they can achieve this in some of their songs. They all sound so good in this. Yes, the arrangement is amazing. Plus, there is just a magic when they sing together and harmonize tightly off each other like this.

As much as I love PTX when they are doing upbeat songs with Kevin beatboxing, their songs doing just 5 part harmonies are just spectacular! Love them!!
I just saw them on Dec 9, 2021 in Hershey, PA and they did this as an Encore and it was absolutely beautiful as was the entire concert!!

Christmas under the stars is a special they did on BYU tv. It’s an hour of them doing a mix of their new album and Xmas favs. You can see if for free and is worth the watch. I downloaded the app to watch, then deleted. The sound/mixing was fantastic!!!!
Yes! Worth the watch for sure. I followed the link in the description of their video and was able to watch it on my computer for free. I loved it.

The link below is the original by The Rescues. The Rescues were originally, and are, once again, a three piece. Gabriel Mann on all things keys. Kyler England on ukulele, guitar, and bass, Adrienne on guitar, bass and percussion, and for this period Rob Giles on dums, guitar and bass (he's the one with the beard). All on vocals. Rob left for a band called Circa Zero a duo project with Rob singing and playing everything except guitar, which is Andy Summers (The Police). Rob is also a TV writer now.
All three Rescues also have solo careers and Kyler (sometimes as Relyk) has a side career guesting on EDM songs. Gabriel also scores a lot of TV shows, notably Modern Family.
