As usual I wanted to see more of the robot voiced by A Hopkins. By the end of the movie it is obvious the robot journey was the more interesting of all the characters.
They spent a shitload of money on the griffon special effects...but what in the hell does that have to do with the story? That was a considerable chunk of time and it ultimately didn't mean anything.
@@eddgar-ce3md- A parody? 🥴 It was never meant to be a parody movie ffs. lol It was MEANT to be a 3hr, R-rated space opera... until Netflix asked him to cut an HOUR'S worth of content out, to decrease the runtime, as well as edit down to a PG13 film, cuz they wanted to make more $ during its limited theatrical release, as well as have more people watching it on their streaming platform. Problem is: everybody can TELL that the film has been chopped up, edited, and had entire scenes taken out! So now nobody is happy, and we all have to wait for his Director's Cut of the story to come out sometime before pt 2 airs, if we want to see the ACTUAL movie he made. I am so tired of studios pulling this whack sh*t on directors! Either allow them to make the movie they want to... or don't finance the project at all! Because once the studio starts messing around too much with a film, it NEVER ends up being what the creator originally envisioned. It's fine if you didn't like the movie... just know that you didn't SEE the whole movie.
Besides the mary sue lead and it is just a rip off of like five other movies? The main issue for me was they just flash forwarded through a lot of plot, that is necessary, but Snyder doesn't care about story, he likes cool scenes. Like they are looking for fighters to help save this village. But what is in it for these people? Why would they help? Why would they leave their planet to fight on some other planet to help some random village when this is probably going on everywhere? Money? Some tie to the village? They just all do. The scene that sums it all up is the female warrior who fights the spider woman. The gang goes to this planet because they hear she is a great warrior. And they show her fighting this spider woman. The spider woman references a whole other story we do not see. It is like we walked into some other movie where this woman was the lead but we only see this scene of her movie. They fight and she wins. Then next scene she is hanging out on their ship and she obviously joined them..but why? What did they say to her? Why would she agree if she is needed where she was? Why do they need her to begin with? Why that particular number of heroes? It is all just assumed. Every character in this is like that. It is a mess.
I hate to disagree (not really, cuz this is the Internet:P) but Zack's action is slo-mo after slo-mo where no slo-mo is needed. You slow the action down--ONCE OR TWICE--when things are happening too fast for the audience to register. I get that. You don't want people to say, "What the hell just happened there?" --but you don't slo-mo every other scene, especially when the audience can easily see what's going. She's shooting a rifle--Pew pew--at something. Why did that need to be done at 1 frame/second??
It's like it was written by a 12-year-old boy to impress his friends. It's damning when your seven samurai ripoff is worse than Roger Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars.
my friend reccomended me this film i thought nothing of it then later seen a review and i found out it ripped off loads of films i had previously told him to check out mainly star wars dune and heavy metal. i don't see how anybody can watch so many films without ever bothering to watch star wars he's 36. he's too cool for star wars but rebel moons pretty good according to him.

The acting was really bad. The idea a village of 100 people or so could resist a galactic empire is childish. The idea established rebels would help them is also childish. Almost all the plot was just: we need fighters, go to location 1 and collect fighter 1, go to location 2 and collect fighter 2, go to location 3 and collect fighter 3, go to location 4 and collect fighter 4. Oh and the movies thinks slow-mo is an excuse to have the bad guys miss every shot against main characters. It's not.
It was okay for me. But I did have to watch it through two sittings. (some minor spoilers below) I hate that one character's accent. It was so ANNOYING! D: And there were some details that I didn't hear earlier too like the Prince. When I heard it near the ending I was very confused and asked myself, "He was a prince?"
Zack ruined "Batman vs Superman". REMEMBER THAT. Second, Macho-Woman characters as lead protagonist will never work. Third, Zack stole characters from various movies and crafted this horrible CGI crap. Nice it FLOPPED.

I watched it and I was really disappointed...a shame...it could have been the "star wars" we've been waiting for for years. I agree that the actors put effort into it, but seriously it seems like a random copy and paste from other films. I repeat...a shame! Especially too many, too many expositions... it would have been much more interesting, for example, if the main character backstory was explained little by little only with flashbacks rather than in long expositions. Also there are some characters who, after their recruitment scene, practically do not contribute in any way to moving the story forward... I'm really sorry, but I was really disappointed about the wasted opportunity! Peace and love ❤

Disney needs/wants it to be bad because while owning Disney, Marvel, Lucas (Star Wars & Indiana Jones), & Pixar, they’re having far more losses than successes. Warner/Discovery needs/wants it to be bad because they’ve replaced Snyder as the head of the DCEU & don’t want him pulling his fans from them.

Netflix didn't ask him to cut anything. Zach himself said Netflix gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted including length but they had also already decided to do a Directors cut even before they started filming the actual movie so he knew he was going to purposely film a longer movie and then cut that down to the pg13 version. Having it be 2 movies (the commercial version and the director cut) was something he happily agreed to. So no, netflix didn't f him over. Look up the interviews before you spread misinformation.

Absolutely atrocious movie. Bad plot, dialogue, vision and acting. Iloved 300 and Man of steel. But, this is atrocious!
