Top 1000 Songs of the 80s (Part 2)

- This video presents the second part of the Top 1000 songs of the eighties (800-601). The source for this video is the Billboard Hot 100, and songs were given points according to their peak, weeks on chart, weeks in the Top 40, and in the Top 10. The lowest peak considered was #11. In order to make a more comprehensive list, all peaks should be considered, but it is a mammoth job, which we'll consider doing someday.
Please note that all songs peaked during the eighties, so it does not include hits like "Escape" by Rupert Holmes, which spent a week at #1 in 1980 but had its first week at number 1 in 1979. In comparison, "Another Day In Paradise" by Phil Collins spent two weeks at #1 in 1990, but its first two weeks on top were in 1989, so its entire chart run was considered for this video and will not appear in the one for the 90s.

Amazing list research to the highest u can add so much more it's endless 80s.Quite a scale mix of genre u have which is just superb u may still hear a few of these Songs u could play it's length for days of these 200songs many many more never get sick beats nearly anything and everything being done since the 90s to now i miss it so much Mixed Emotions like the Song lately we all feeling a Radio Station could just play this u get a picture and many fans tune in to be blessed and part of the greatest decade of all time never to forget miss it so much oh hail the 80s

Thriller only peaked at #4 in the USA. It may have been a bigger hit outside of the US, but this countdown is solely based on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Oh, and ABBA were never that big in the USA, despite their huge success everywhere else.

@@juniao11 This #603 position is for the single Thriller, not for the album Thriller. You will find bigger hits from that album such as "Beat It" and "Billie Jean" placed much higher up on the countdown, so yeah, the album Thriller is indeed the biggest selling one of all time, but the song Thriller was not the most successful one from the album, at least not in the USA.
