      Hi one question,can you take a picture while recording for the thumbnail?will the recording stop?with the t7i

  • @retiredguyadventures6211

    I bought this camera a couple of years ago and could not be happier. I was into film photography back in the 80's and early 90's. I quite because DSLR's came out and they intimidated me with their amount of controls. With film all I had to know was ASA, shutter speed and my aperture setting. I'm retired now and got back into photography with my 1st DSLR camera the Canon T7i. Unless I turn pro I think this camera will serve all my needs.

    Planning on buying this camera in early February. Kit I’m getting has the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. I’m also planning on getting the EF 50mm f/1.8 for great bokah shots.
    Everything I’m seeing shows the T7i is a good all around cam for someone just starting out so I’m really excited to start.

    I was wondering if the 18-55mm or 18-135mm lenses added stabilization to the camera for video. I’m kind of new to DSLR cameras so sorry if this is a silly question. Also, which lens would you recommend getting with the camera? If I purchase this camera, the one that would come in the kit would be the only one I will own for a while. Thank you :)

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi, they have image stabilization, and it should work well for video too. The 18-135mm would be more useful if you plan to use it for a longer time, but that kit is also more expensive.

    Easy to take foto, but video for night shooting is so confusing to set manual to get video with 0% noise

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 4 lety

      Hello, TrendQuran Family. When recording video you are typically going to fix the shutter speed at 2x the frame rate. So that leaves you with your ISO and your aperture to control the amount of light.Typically you would use your aperture to control your depth of field or how much is in focus in front of and behind your focus point and your ISO to control the exposure. If you are noticing a lot of image noise your camera is most likely shooting at a high ISO. You can improve this buy purchasing a lens with a faster maximum aperture or use an external light source. Thanks for watching!

    which one is better option for youtube video / vlogging, 80d or t7i? Price wise, a refurbished 80d now on Canon website is about $800 body only, or 850 with 18-55mm lens. Brand new t7i now, body is $700, with 18-55mm lens is about $850.
    How's the Auto focus quality /speed works in T7i vs 80d?
    Is bluetooth a great feature that could make sharing pictures to phones/social medial easier than using wifi (assume you don't always have wifi, such as shooting in outdoor, etc). With bluetooth, I could just connect to my own phone/pc, or to friends phone at places without good data signal or wifi signal. I can share picture, short clips easily and instantly with blue tooth to my friends traveling with me right there together.
    Is missing the second dial wheel on T7i a huge draw back vs 80d? For incident, you are using gorilla pod as selfy stick, and you are vlogging with buttons on the back of camera, so if you need to adjust shutter speed, you will be having such a hard time doing so vs just dial the 2nd wheel on 80d.
    But some big advantage of T7i is: 1) lighter weigh, smaller size, easier to carry out, or hand held for vlogging. 2) in body image stabilization for video !!!!! ---But, so far I don't know how well this works, not much youtuber share this test so far!!!!!
    Could someone share their opinions??? Thanks!

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 7 lety +3

      Hi Sun! Both are great cameras with top notch features. We would recommend the Canon 80D for video recording since it has a longer battery life and comes with a headphone jack, ideal to control the audio input while recording. You should evaluate which features are more important for you prior making a decision.

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 4 lety

      Hello Doug Davis. I would suggest deciding between either the Rebel T7i or the EOS M50. Both have similar sensors, take great video (M50 shoots 4k video vs. T7i 1080P) and perform well under low light. If you are concerned with the size of the camera The M50 would be a clear winner. Both the lenses and camera are quite a bit smaller and lighter than the equivalent Rebel T7i. If the size of the camera and lens isn't of concern, the T7i is a great option. Better ergonomics (handgrip) and button layout, more native mount lenses to chose from. It also has an optical viewfinder.

    do you think the Canon T71 would be a good cam to film documentaries? video interviews? or music videos?

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 4 lety +2

      Hello FlashbackFeverRadio. The Canon EOS rebel is definitely capable of being used for recording documentaries, interviews, and music videos. The image quality and ISO performance from the camera is great and it's Dual Pixel AF works really well. Oh, and the flip-out touch screen makes it easy to capture different angles. The camera does offer a mic input to help improve audio (which is very important for video) but it lacks a headphone jack to monitor the sound. Also, I would recommend purchasing multiple batteries to have in case you a recording for extended periods. With that being said, I would also consider the Canon EOS 80D as the camera has a bit more robust build, weather sealing, headphone jack, and improved battery with longer run time. You can also purchase a battery grip for extended shooting times. At 1:17 to 2:11 in this video, you talk about hooking up the RODE microphone to the camera. On my camera, which is branded as an "EOS Rebel T7" (Canon DS126741), the opening on the side appears to have a HDMI, USB, and Shutter Release. Were their two models of this camera, T7 and T7i? Some other FAQs/videos suggest a USB to 3.5mm adapter to the RODE mic, which I find odd.

I want an affordable DSLR camera that I can use for a start-up photography business leaning towards portraits. Which one would you recommend the T7i or the Canon 77D? Also, I see you recommend the 55-135 lense, should that be selected over the 50 1.8 lense as a first purchase lense over a kit bundle? Thank you

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello MellMaryland. Thanks for your kind feedback. Both Cameras (T7i and 77D) will produce the same image quality because they share the same sensor and image processor. What separates the two is the design of the camera body. The 77D features a top LCD panel and a secondary control wheel (to change the aperture quickly) like that of the 80D or more current 90D. These cameras are both excellent choices for beginners and when paired with a good lens you should be able to achieve “Pro” level quality. It would be worth getting the camera with the kit lens for general use. Like if you were going to travel and wanted to be able to take both wide-angle and telephoto shots. And in addition, have the “nifty” fifty too for improved overall image quality. Especially for taking portraits where you want to throw out the background using a wide-open aperture of F1.8.

    • @mellanese
      @mellanese Před 4 lety

      @@DigitalGojaUSA Thank you I will go for the 77D for the reasons you mentioned. I did find the bundle kit lenses a lil confusing and the 80D too heavy for me. I have a slew of compact digitals and are using a Panasonic Lumix 30x zoom at the moment. This will be my 1st DSLR so I'm doing a lot of video research and spec comparison.

      Hello, Stacey Taylor Smith. If you are looking for a wide angle lens on a budget, the Canon EF-S 10-18mm lens works really well. It's compact, lightweight, has fast and silent AF, and features image stabilization. If you are looking for something that could blur out the background more and provide you with a sharper image, I would recommend checking out Sigma's 18-35mm F/1.8 DC DN ART lens.
