Military jets can certainly use GPS but should not rely on it. While GPS is a cheap and cheerful navigation option, there are plenty of other accurate techniques most of which are highly resistant to jamming.

Guidance systems for Western kit literally cannot hit their targets because they are highly vulnerable to Russian electronic warfare. When the Czechs were trying to gather up as many spare shells they could find for the Ukrainians, they apparently didn't call the North Koreans. They plundered old stocks in Africa though. Those North Korean shells have been massacring Ukrainian soldiers at a fraction of the cost of NATO or even Russian shells, so if this is the best Torygraph listeners can do, pack it in. NATO equipment has been revealed to be overengineered, overpriced and largely inoperable by anyone that hasn't been training on it for years.

In the second war, German paratroops suffered such heavy losses taking Crete, that they were never used as paratroopers again (except in one disastrous drop in the Ardenne Offensive.)

Russian forces are overpowering Ukrainian troops in northern Volchansk, so the enemy has sent elite army units and mercenaries there, said Major General Apty Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit.

NATO is a defence alliance and there are no NATO forces in Ukraine. That countries that are in the alliance are helping Ukraine is a different matter. This is about defending a country that wants to determine it's own future and not subjugated by an oppresive, imperialist regime.

As usual Ukraine is spending more time and missile effort make futile missile launches at Sevastopol where Russia has removed its navy. Perhaps it might be better aiming American systems where Russia is continually making gains along a broad front. Ukraine is loosing around 2,000 men a day now. Despite the overwhelming glide bombs etc causing havoc, Zilensky says Russia is loosing six times as many guys as Ukraine.....
