I first saw this video about 8 years or so when it fist came out and I have never done rice that much. But tomorrow for our ward luau I signed up for rice so I am going to use this for tomorrow. That have been my measurements for rice also, 1 cup of rice to 1 1/2 cups of water .

GREAT video! Thanks for sharing!! I need to cook rice for 275 people (1 cup per person) for a church party. What is the max amount of rice I can cook in one pan (the size you've recommended) and have it turn out so that it's evenly cooked?
12 cups Rice and 1 gallon water cook for half hour more at 400 degrees.with the foil on
can I cook more than one of those aluminum pans in my oven at the same time? Do i need to adjust the temperature if i put one pan on each shelf and bake in the oven?...This video is great by the way!!! thank you!
Cindy Yntriago you can add another pan just cook 15min longer. So cook for 1hr and 15min.

@@TheYoungLeech it should be the same but just add your seasoning and citrus in before you bake. Then adjust after it’s cooked for taste and consistency.

You said 2 qts of rice is 8 cups, and we would need 3 qts of water. Is that correct? And cook in a convection oven on low fan 350 for 1 hour?
Yes 8 cups of rice and 12 cups of water. Foil and cook it in convection oven 350. If cooked in oven at home cook @400* 1 hr
If I use the half size pan would I still cook it at the same temp and time. I'm thinking 4 cups rice to 6 cups water at 400 for 1 hour. Did I do all that math correctly?
That is the right math and for every one cup of rice should =1.5 cups of water. But for the measurement to cook the rice in the oven is kind of tricky.it will be 4 cups Rice =8 cups water. Because It needs the 2 extra cups of water to create the steam to cook the rice in the pan that is covered with foil. And 400’ you can check at 35min or until cooked for half pan. 8 cups Rice and 12 cups water 400 and 1 hr for a full pan. but If you want more rice to fill the large pan of rice it would be 12 cup rice and 16 cups water. With 1.5 hrs at 400’ Hope that makes sense. Mahalo
