- Today I take a look at the entire Asus ProArt range as a whole to see whether or not it is worth it to invest in ProArt monitors or ProArt Laptops.
Long story short, if you are a creator of any kind looking to take this seriously then I would suggest looking at investing into a ProArt monitor, they are built really well, the have really good color accuracy and with a bunch of different color gamuts you can easily set it to edit your content to the best it can be.

Do you own a ProArt monitor? Have you wanted to or is this something you will be investing in soon?
I'm considering to get one.
@@pretor706 they are really amazing screens you won't be disappointed
I have 3xPA278QV and 1xPA148CTV on my desk.
These monitors are consumer-grade at best, but strike a good balance between panel quality and specs... If you manage to find a unit without any obvious uniformity issues.
They don't require too much in terms of calibration, but it is still advisable to use a colorimeter.
Biel musisz też dopasować do swojego otoczenia.
Very well put together and extremely informative, especially if you are a content creator looking for a new display.
Thank you I appreciate it.
great video thank you! I have been looking at monitors and was told that 4K, due to Mac OS scaling, is not a good resolution for them, have you had any problems?
I had no problems especially with my M1 MacBook air. The scaling is different and I guess it could take a lot of resources to do the scaling for some MacBooks.
Excellent video, I'm really undecided on Asus Pro Art or BenQ PD, both monitors have excellent color calibration, but I noticed that the Pro Art CGV model reaches 144Hz unlike the BenQ PD which remains fixed at 60Hz. Which one seems better to you? and if I take a 27" 2k is better or 4k is fine too Thank you!
2k for me is fine, but some people do prefer 4k, but it isn't a must in my opinion. When it comes to refresh rate, I would always go 144Hz or higher
Thank you for all this awesome information!! I'm currently looking at the Asus ProArt PA32UCRK for FCPX video editing on my Late 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max. What's your thoughts with this combination? Thans again... Great job!! 👍😊
I absolutely loved using it with my M1 MacBook. I used it to edit videos and pictures and the quality and ease of use is great. I loved that I could plug it in via USB c and then it charges the macbook as well so you don't need to worry about your laptops power as well.
@@Jacqie What model number did you use? Thanks again!👍
Worries me the grays/blacks, bleeding and ghosting. I'm not sure if I should by this.
ProArt display is amazing product, i was Acer user so long and just moved to proart for design job and its stunning love the quality and color accuracy
I found a 24" one on craiglist for $39 while looking for a regular second monitor, it had a deep scratch in the monitor that made a white dot on the display, despite this, I'm very impressed with it!
Bought one a year ago and i will never buy a monitor that is not pro art. Beyond love the image and the USB C port that powers and transmits data from my laptop is a game changer. Great Video, thanks for your time on this.
I absolutely love the fact that I can connect my macbook to it via USB C and that it charges it. Makes such a big difference with a device like that, that has very limited ports
Hey loved your review. I am confused between Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE & Asus proart Pa279cv... Could you help me out with that? My requirement is for animation and graphics.
They will both be great for that use case and they are both technically the same monitor in terms of specs and what it can do. The Pro Art does seem to come in at a better price but it will come down to what you want to spend.

How about if i want to edit photos in RGB colour space?
I’ve been wanting to buy one to go along with my Macbook M1 Pro. I can’t afford the 4K version as i’m trying to stay under 350-400. As a video editor the color accuracy is going to be key. Do you think the Full HD will be fine when pairing with a macbook ?
I recently used a 2k ProArt monitor and it was still amazing in terms of sharpness and I really enjoyed it with my Macbook. (amzn.to/3uSUbd9) It is quite a bit cheaper than the 4k version but not a lot more expensive than the 1080p versions. This particular model is 27 inch so you still get a good size display and PPI.
@@Jacqie asus rog swift big sreen or proart big sreen
Plz answer work design
@@KingGaming-co7cs If you need it for work the ProArt will be better, mainly because it is aimed at that and the Swift is aimed more towards gaming
In 2024, which would be a better buy: a 27-inch 4K ProArt display or a 32-inch 2K ProArt display?
It my be POSSIBLE that I have been enjoying a similar experience with my XPS 15 for about a year now 🤣
I can never go back to an uncalibrated display, the white point alone on these displays is amazing, it makes any other screen look either yellow, green or blue when displaying white.
That could be possible, but yeah once you have used a calibrated display it is hard to use anything else. So I am glad you are enjoying it.
I am trying to pick a new monitor. I work in marketing. I do most typical office work but also work in Adobe doing some design. Do you think a ProArt monitor is worth it. Unfortunately I can only find a 27" QHD, in my area. Would you move to a different monitor to try and get 32" / 4K or stick with the PA278QV ProArt. Thanks
There are a lot of great monitors these days that are color accurate that are cheaper. I would suggest maybe looking around unless you plan to do design work more often in the future. The 27 QHD is really good. No real need to do 32 or 4k, unless you like the larger size
I have a PA278QV that I have been happy with for the price (Got it on sale for $200) but it's starting to show it's age in some ways. The PA278CV or PA279CRV would not be much of an upgrade so I'm kind of torn on what to do. That said for one of the older monitors it's still quite good for my video editing needs till I decide what to do.
How long has u used that for?
@@nguyenminhkhiem7141 2 or 3 years now.
@@nadtz Can you have a slight review with it after using long time?
@@nguyenminhkhiem7141 Not much to say, I'm happy with it as a color accurate monitor but for the bit of gaming I do I have a second monitor. I wouldn't mind seeing an updated monitor with 1440p, kvm, some more modern IO and a higher refresh rate (144/160hz) but it seems most manufacturers are skipping straight to 4k so I'm currently kind of stuck for an upgrade path. I mostly use it for video editing and have a calibration puck so I can't comment on how well the calibration holds over time without one. It does have software to switch color spaces without having to dig through the menus which is nice. Not sure what else you might want to know but feel free to ask, I'll answer if I can.
How about delta E and adobe rgb?
Is there any need of calibration or is the color accurate out of the box..I print my photos too..
They all come with a report from the factory that should mean that it is 100% fine, but I would still calibrate if you really need it to be 100%
When your teacher gives you an assignment "Make sentences with the word POSSIBLE by using POSSIBLE as much as POSSIBLE but should be DIFFERENT from DIFFERENT sources so that it sounds DIFFERENT!" 😂
Had to see if it was possible 😄
Sound hearts my ears.... May be the sound effects are too heavy like noise reduction
I have a BenQ PD2700U. I love this monitor but my goal has always been to get a ProArt Monitor. 32Inch, 4K...
They ProArts are really good. I love how premium they feel.
@@Jacqie they are minimalistically gorgeous displays.
Asus ProArt monitor is built for creator! Love them
They really are amazing
Hello, I do B&W photography. I saw that the blacks are not to very accurate. Are they still the best choice to edit B&W photography?
What's great is you can further calibrate if it isn't the best, but the contrast ratio is still good and will still work great with B&W photography
@@Jacqie thanks; what is the best monitor PA278CV or PA279CV?
@@alexandremiguelleandro1566 the only big difference is the resolution between them and then the pa279cv would have a little more sharpness, but you should be happy with either. Here are links to both for you to compare price and specs.
Pa278cv : amzn.to/3CAu3Z1
Pa279cv: amzn.to/3Thdqr7
@@Jacqie thanks for your help.
Hey man, did you purchase the monitor? Im eyeing these monitors as well but i've been a little hesitant about it having the typical IPS 1000:1 contrast ratio and skewed blacks, since im going to consume content in the dark with it, so it kinda matters to me too.
Did you get something else to edit your BW photos?
Bought this monitor in January of this year. USB ports do not function. Sent for repair March 13, 2024 and just received it back May 23, 2024. The same problem exist and now the casement has been chipped all over. Have had numerous conversations, emails, with Asus support and still they have not complied with fixing the issue and due to the casement damage they need to replace the monitor completely. Guess I will need to post this in a CZcams video.
That sucks, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Seems ASUS has been at it again lately with support being bad
Does the monitor work well an old laptop i7-7700hq and 1050ti?
It should work fine. It is just a monitor
Dell U2722D or ProArt PA278QV for photo editing?
Both should be fine. I prefer the proart but that is more personal preference. It depends on price and looks as well which one you would buy
@@Jacqie thank you.
@@conormalinois no problem
is it better than the lg27UP850 IPS 4k?
It depends on whay you need. The ProArt monitors are really good with color accuracy and makes it really great for content creators or professionals editing and making content. The LG will also be good for that, but I believe the ProArt will always be slightly better though
@@Jacqie Thank you for your candor🙏🏻
He had to zoom in where it said ‘’Taiwan’’ lol 😂😂😂😂😂
I dont know why my proart wont connect just with the usb c 😢 it has to also have the hdmi connected
What device are you trying to connect via the USB C port?
@@Jacqie macbook pro 2020 ver. And if i just use the hdmi, it doesnt show up full screen as well.
@@dorothyguya9038 Have you tried a different USB C cable? Try getting a new USB 3.1 USB C cable and then try that maybe
You need to change the input with the buttons on the bottom of your display. Out the box it’s setup for HDMI.
Can this do animation too??
anything can
I'm interestd in the PA328CGV, but I haven't seen a proper review of it, especially gaming. I do 3D content, I game, I watch movies and browse the web, so I need something that will be good in both gaming and 3D content creation.... I own a 5ms response monitor right now, but I'm afraid I might be missing out on a faster response time, although the games I play aren't competitive...
I have a review coming tomorrow of the PA348CGV that is 34inch, 120Hz and 2k that you might want to check out then
@@Jacqie Isnt it 165Hz?!? or is it misinformation even on their official page?
@@PunkR0ckz09 which one?
@@Jacqie the PA328CGV
@@PunkR0ckz09 oh yeah but I was mentioning the 348 which is 120Hz. Do you need 165Hz?
Hi, for watching movies, it is a good monitor?
It will be good yes, but there are cheaper alternatives as well if you just plan to watch movies
@@Jacqie That's cool bro, i've changed my mind all by myself, my graphic card MSI Ventus 3X 3090 died this morning, i've got to spend some money on a new one, my msi was used, i bought a Asus Dual 4060 Ti (new), my budget is a little low :)
@jean-claudecossette6841 oh that sucks, but happy you were able to get a new one
@@Jacqie Yeah thx bro!! Less power and strong but i will get one stronger soon.. the Asus Dual 4060 Ti it's not strong but not weak either
@jean-claudecossette6841 yeah it is a decent card for most setups, but if you require more it will lack a bit
great Video thanks, I am looking into getting a ProArt PA329CRV since that should support Adobe RGB (at least it says so on the HP). The only thing that confuses me is if you go to the support side under drivers it only shows Windows drivers and nothing for Mac? Any idea why that is.
Ok cool. Why is it matte?
Matte displays reduce reflections on the screen
@@Jacqie It also makes the screen less sharp and it can desaturate colors slightly
@goodgremlinmedia2757 that is the downside yes unfortunately. There are other options like their new OLED display that has a glossy finish and I am sure there are a few other "creator" focused monitors that are also glossy
@@Jacqie Outside of Apple there are maybe 3 or 4 monitors on the market that offer a glossy option and it pisses me off.
@goodgremlinmedia2757 i would say try and address it on forums or by giving suggestions to companies that make these monitors. Hopefully they might listen
How do you update the firmware? Even ASUS support couldn't figure it out lol
I hope this helps www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1041883/
Possible
Jacqie the POSSIBLE man
It could possibly be me yes
all I see is the sass but does sound like a good monitor
They reall are good monitors in general, a bit on the expensive side just to buy as a standard monitor but if you have any use for it, it is really worth it
why is this video mostly of your face, rather than the monitor???
this isn't a 10-bit monitor
