Turning 30 is actually pretty amazing. You are more mature, confident and you see life from a different perspective. This is the best age of your life. I'm in my mid 30s and I have some regrets for not using my early 20s and 30s with full potential. I feel like my 20s flew away in a blink of an eye. In my 20s we didn't have access to these huge amount of internet resources and social media, so we spent our times doing and learning other stuff outside internet world. I've realized, being disciplined is the most crucial thing to achieve anything in life.
I’m turning 25 and I’m trying to get to this mindset now so I can enjoy my 20s more and not waste them overthinking so much and living and enjoying the moment .
I tunerd 21 a few days ago and I realized how miserable I am with my life, my habits, and my job. I hope that one day will be able to live a life that fullfils me.
I recommend reading gospel according to John Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
Thank you for this video !!! I am about to turn 24 and I feel like I have not done anything in my life, which is true. However, I faced something that affected my mental health. This kept me in a depressing mindset of not doing anything. The pandemic was amazing for me as I took advantage and graduated on time. It was after I graduated that impacted me. My university wouldn't give me my diploma that I worked so hard for. It was an ongoing battle to get it resolved. No one helped me and I couldn't afford an attorney so I got depressed. I kept losing hope each time they revoked my documents. I would sleep in, not brush my teeth, and would forget the last time I shower. I did not care as I had nothing to look forward to. I felt like my life ended and I felt embarrassed for myself. I felt like a failure. It took them over a year, almost two, to give me my diploma. To this day their apology means nothing to me as they stole a year and a half away from me. Also, the apology was not sincere and broad, which pissed me off more. It almost felt like they did not care. Also, not having my diploma and seeing all my friends getting jobs deteriorated my health. After receiving my diploma on December 2022, I booked a flight to Japan. It has always been a dream of mine to go there and it was a gift to myself. I just got back and I am inspired to work for travel as I want to go back. My mindset has shifted and I tell myself it's never too late and you have a different journey. This video has reassured me that everything is going to be okay. I will take your advice of not comparing myself to others and not being afraid to do me. Thank you so much 🙏🏻 I'm literally crying right now writing this!!! I hope that a year from now I am living my 20s, taking risks, and have a decent first job that I love. Still trying to find myself lol but you gotta start somewhere.
I love it! For me, the ones that stood out to me the most are - Take care of your body - Focus more on happiness and chasing that - There is no spotlight and nobody is looking at you. Do what you are scared of. Thank you, Charlie!
Amazing video! I’m turning 29 this summer and I’m getting nervous for my 30s. I know we can’t stop aging and we shouldn’t let society set our timeline of when things should be done by a certain time but it does put into perspective how fast time has gone by. Thank you Charlie for sharing your list and I definitely can relate to them! Make 30s the best!
It was the opposite for me. Was a skinny ass dude with no social game in high school. Now, I’m lean as hell and can get along with anyone. And I got a nice career. Man, it really went 180 for me
I agree that moving out from your college town changes your focus and perspective about life. Usually we feel comfortable staying in a place that we know so well.
I recommend reading gospel according to John Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
Turning 28 next month. Don't even recognize who I am anymore. Feels like the real me left along time ago. Word of advice to a 20 year old. Go hard and build now. By the time your 30 you're old and wasted your youth. Every second matters.
Bro, 30 ain’t old. As someone who the same age as you, I didn’t really get started until I was 28. Before, I was just a stocker, no social life, had no idea who I was. Now, got a nice career, I have friends, got a girlfriend, and planning to buy a house when I’m 30. Just got to believe in yourself bro, I had to grind my ass off to get here, I’m not about to stop now
At least one REALISTIC comment. I’m tired of all this positive BS talk. I have literally lost half of my 20’s in some BS and still recovering. Of course: I didn’t “lose anything” and “I still got time”, but believe me you KNOW when you have wasted years and years and it doesn’t get better,
To a 20 year old I'd say, Save as much as possible. Make it a challenge to see how much you can stack up every year. Start investing. Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, 401k... even if it's only 20-30 bucks a paycheck. Just keep it consistent. Stay away from negative people, even if they are family. Have tons of fun. Have adventures. Adventures don't have to be expensive.
I'm 23 years old, lost and don't know what to do, there's so many paths in life that I don't know where to go, like what leads me to where I want to be? I do school, I do CZcams, I go to the gym, I got a job, but I feel like something's missing and I don't know my next step. I feel stagnate.
I recommend reading gospel according to John Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
I'm 25, turning 26 next month. The same goes for any age. The more you do each day, the slower time goes by. The thing I want to change now, is to definitely do more each day. And most importantly, do more of the things I love each day.
I recommend reading gospel according to John Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
I completely agree. Another thing i wish i was more aware of is meeting genuine people.. it's just so hard!!! Big part of why i was broke. Always trying to impress the wrong people!
I'm 21. Thank you for all of the advice. I even downloaded an app to hopefully push my addiction away from social media. It really does brainwash us all to be spending several hours on some stupid app that pushes hours out the window before you even realize it. At 21, I've learned to better my meals. Fruits for breakfast, good protein intake, less processed junk foods, etc. I'm working out daily + my job is physical which also helps. My biggest downfall is social media. I will change for the better! 🤞
Another good tip w social media is to set a limit. Dont get rid of it completely if you use it consistently now; as that almost always results in you coming back. Ive set limits to decrease my social media things like time limits and such
I LOVE the idea of this video but… This is the furthest thing from a “waste.” Your “waste” is a testimony to your progress and journey. People look up to you and you’re here for a reason and ALL of those reasons. Nobody’s life is a waste, it’s how you see it. Great video man I hope more people would do this type stuff
Anyone reading this….DO NOT WASTE YOUR 20s!!!! I like many, have done this. This is why 20s is always considerate wasted. DO NOT DO IT!!! That way you can retire early. Work can or will kill you.
I just turned 31 end of March too! Agree with a lot you’re saying - I really wish I had started entrepreneurship sooner but ah well, glad I got into it eventually 🥰
If I did a video on all of the mistakes I made in my 20s, it may set a guinness record for longest video on CZcams! In all seriousness, 6:25 I stayed in my college town until I was 39. It worked well for me as I had a thriving financial planning practice but it wasn't until we moved to Nashville that my business (and wealth) really took off.
I remember all the advice and points about how the only constant in life is change...time goes faster...etc. But it really is a different experience to go through it. It's easy looking down the road and think it's in the far distance. But time freakin flies.
I’m 20 and in my third year of university and found myself resonating with many points made in this video, the advice was super helpful and I will keep it in mind to improve myself and get on the right path^^
A lot of people chase money instead of happiness which i think happiness lies inside of us. Can you elaborate in another video about how chasing money can ruin you psychologically? I feel like more people need to hear it, especially when you mentioned no longer feeling that high when you bought your cars. I found that fascinating.
Great video, really got me thinking about my life now currently in college and in my 20s and I'm just feeling like I should be doing so much more when in reality I'm not doing bad in life I just need to enjoy things more and worry less about money!
I’m turning 28 this year.I hate my choices, I hate myself, I’m bitter and my 20s have been an absolute pathetic mess.I can’t move on because all I think about is how much time I wasted and that’s fucking pathetic.Fuck life. For real
This was so insightful, thank you for being so honest! Especially love the baseline dopamine point, definitely gonna prioritize chasing happiness instead of money.
As a newly 26 yrs old guy, this video is so helpful. Thank you Charlie for sharing your life. Because of this video, I started to subscribe on your channel. Keep going bro!
What I should say about this is in my opinion going on lots of trips in your 20s and taking your time finding out what you want to do isn’t wasted time. But at the same invest a little every month so when you retire you actually have something to reap
Thank you. I will be 20 years old and I have decided to go ahead and live my life to the fullest. What you have said has been very helpful since I have learned about some points you made. Wish me luck
Disagree with the don’t settle down part. A good mate will keep you motivated. Most single ppl party a lot because they’re looking a fun time or a mate. Don’t understand the power and privilege of having a young relationship
My 20s was kinda like stagnant at some point. I graduated at 23 (that's the age where everyone graduates with engineering degree) , started my job in a manufacturing company in a mnc company, didnt really liked the job, moved to another country for the better currency and worked for a telecommunication company. Gotten my pr in the 3rd year, but i felt empty as compared to when i joined in. Worked too long in the company. I'm closing to 30 soon and in case anyone is wondering work on your IT related skills in your 20s, that it gonna be the future.
I’m 23, and I’ve already realized all of what you said in this video. My problem is that I’m a highly sensitive person (male), and it is very crippling and troubling. I’m struggling to reach my goals.
I'm turning 30 in November. My main problem has been trying to figure out the meaning and purpose of existence. I still haven't figure it out and it has led me with a lack of drive and motivation to do anything. What's the point if we're all going to die in the end? People call this depression but it's truth. I wish there was a goal with this game called life, but it just seems like a lame survival game with no ultimate objective goal. Growing old is disgusting too. Literally watching the body deteriorate.
I understand. I don't care about money but need it to live in society. Life isn't a race just go with the flow where it takes you. I believe there isn't really a goal, but just to experience the material world. As long as you live with integrity, don't care what others are doing just be who you want to be. Think of a higher version of yourself and work towards that.
Thank you very much Charlie ! I'm 24 and i'm creating my passive incomes and building my company. To give me the time and the choices in my life. I listen myself this his my one and only duty during my life.
I chased a college degree. Was it worth it? Not sure but it doesn’t feel like it was. However, I did learn a lot in my 20s and hope to start using my skills to make money and become financially free. I’m 27 and debt free. I hope I can make it.
I waste it more worst. I had the loser mindset, i never left house, always watching useless videos, never chase new skills, got my first ever job at 26 which is a no skill minimum wage job. It depress me everyday wish i can turn back time
thank you charlie so much for 2023, for finishing the lunar new year 2023, I want sent a huge thank to you. 2023 has been the most beautiful year of my life when I can lose weight, adapt new habit, have a clear mindset for my chanel, apply the morning routine,.. Now it has been a part of my life. Hope a lot of people can know your chanel, and you can produce more quality content like that. Thank you so much Charlie ❤
Wise words some I need to reflect on too. I am chasing money but I feel it’s the learning process I enjoy. Not really the end goal or some materialistic needs.
If i did not make the mistakes i have done in my 20s how am i not enjoy the best part of my 30s? I yave learn so much on what i dont like and, still, there are plenty of room to learn. I am 27, and even tough we feel we havent done anything, in reality we have learn to live and know ourselves. 🤘🏾💪🏾
I wanted to regret my 20's but in my 30's ive grown to accept it was all a learning experience. I am who i am because of my past choices and in your 20's is when you experiment and discover yourself. Don't focus on money, that life will leave you alone and only destroy you.
Hey @charlie, you’re amazing really. The way you talk is so calmly, and sincere. I never write a comment in a youtube videos, but i just can’t help it. I’m definitely lacking of everything you talked about. I’m in my mid 20’s already, been working for almost 6yrs now, and i feel like i didn’t grow as an individual much. Definitely going to do more onmyself. Thankyou.
I'm already in my mid 20s and feel like I haven't done much but just waste my time and life away. Then I also remember that people run different races...thank you for your story though. :))

I'm 25 and I'm a pleaser to my mom. She always believes that college is the only way to success. That's not always. There are so many famous people who are rich and they never finished college
shiieettt I wasted a little more than half of my 20's playing league of legends and feeling sorry for myself; even worse was that covid happened afterward. Took me a lot to overcome the wasted time, now I'm doing fairly well at 28 but always seeking to improve.
I don’t feel like I wasted my 20’s despite wishing I had done things differently. What I didn’t know then is what I know now and part of gaining that knowledge was by walking the path. I wish my parents weren’t so financially uneducated. I wish my mom had invested more time in learning English so that she didn’t have to struggle so much with finance jargon. Working hard can only get you so far when it comes to earning money, you need brains too if you want your earned money to go further and when I say ‘brains’ I don’t mean that you have to be some sort of genius or the next Elon Musk to make better financial decisions.
If you're scrolling to see if this video makes sense, IT HELLA DOES! Every single word he said is literally what I feel right now (20s) where I don't know how to explain. This helps me a lot Charlie. Salute!
I wasted my 20’s and a lot of my 30’s too. I guess I felt like I was going to be young forever. Doing ok now but feel like I’m playing catch up. My body isn’t the same obviously, even though I’m 42 and still somewhat young.
you say to "don't chase money, chase happiness" yet it seems you are still chasing money at 30 or 31 years old. Nothing wrong with that. It is like the adage, "do as I say, not as I do."
I really enjoyed your video! Thank you for your vulnerability, admitting making mistakes and let us learn from it. Thank you for all your tips! I love your open mindset ❤
Money does equal happiness the people that say otherwise are either rich or financially stable enough to not worry about bills rather be rich at my 30s and be happy then still working a 9-5 at 60
i truly dont know where to even start. Im a manager at a quick service restaurant. im 21. Got a good car and my own apartment but my motivation has been dipping lately and im trying to figure out how to stop caring about peoples opinions so much. My biggest issue is not knowing how to find my answers on my own since i didnt place much value on books, school, and having a social life. Honestly by this comment i dont truly know where my issue lies at and how to overcome it. Hopefully i understand more by the end of this year.
I recommend reading gospel according to John Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
I also ended up listening to my parents too much. They meant well, but they're boomers and don't have any understanding of how the modern world works. I probably wasted 5+ years of my life pursuing stuff that I never needed, and IDK how much time I needed to catch up because I went into adulthood not knowing basic things about money, investing, taxes, exercise, mental health, or anything about how the world works. On top of that, I had no fun until my late 20s. Basically completely wasted my prime years.
Wealthfront will always be my favorite savings account I've been with them for 4+ years now and their APY couldn't possibly compare to my traditional bank. Also this video came at a time where I desperately needed it, I'm in my 20s right now and man it's been rough but this helps me out a lot.
He is right, chasing money just leads to stress and a new standard of living that you always have to fight to maintain. I would trade it all for happiness and peace
I am 51. I travelled the world and partied like mad. I did nothing with my college degree (liberal arts). While I wasted valuable time and money, I still believe that going to other countries was one of the best things I could have done. I went to Korea, Ireland, Mexico, Japan etc. The differences in cultures was mind blowing. If I could do it all over again, I would have travelled right out of high school for a couple of years before starting college. I would have decided on a specific academic path that would have taken me straight to a job or career, no fluff majors. But most of all, I would have developed life skills (money, time management, emotional intelligence). I probably would have worked on a farm or a business learning the ropes, then go out into the real world....
I am currently in a situation where I’ve received my first job offer that I love but is out of my city and they’re forcing me to stay at home. I don’t know how to go around this as I need their financial support but I know this position is going to open doors for me. I want to listen to myself for once.
Im 29 ..... been in love, been to rehab, been to funerals, been to different counties, wasted time, been fearfull of relationships, jumped jobs, been back and fourth to college, still no degree, still no relationship, the best time ive had was the time that was a waste, playing it safe has been so boring.

Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable - I'm happy you got some reassurance from this video and rooting for you!
I'm proud of you, keep looking forward!
happy for you, this was a beautiful read :)
I love it! For me, the ones that stood out to me the most are
- Take care of your body
- Focus more on happiness and chasing that
- There is no spotlight and nobody is looking at you.
Everything you said in this video so true. Once I stop playing high school sports I started gaining weight and time does fly by in your 20’s.
Dude me too! Was an all-star athlete in HS with a 30 inch and am now a fat ass who can’t find pants in the store that fit me. It’s a nightmare.
@@victorbeauregarde1502😂
@@victorbeauregarde1502 wake up bro. Let's go
It was the opposite for me. Was a skinny ass dude with no social game in high school. Now, I’m lean as hell and can get along with anyone. And I got a nice career. Man, it really went 180 for me

I agree that moving out from your college town changes your focus and perspective about life. Usually we feel comfortable staying in a place that we know so well.
watching this in my 20's really made me think my decisions in life
I recommend reading gospel according to John
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
(John 14:6).
Of course: I didn’t “lose anything” and “I still got time”, but believe me you KNOW when you have wasted years and years and it doesn’t get better,
@@cjc4426 im currently 28. I suffer from social anxiety & am also an introvert. Any tips for having a social life?
To a 20 year old I'd say,
Save as much as possible.
As someone whos in my 20s it really helps with understanding a different perspective and just being more grateful of the present
Turned 23 this year. Thank you for your insight. Awesome content as usual 🙏
Me too!
I'm 23 years old, lost and don't know what to do, there's so many paths in life that I don't know where to go, like what leads me to where I want to be? I do school, I do CZcams, I go to the gym, I got a job, but I feel like something's missing and I don't know my next step. I feel stagnate.
I recommend reading gospel according to John
Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
(John 14:6).
I'm 25, turning 26 next month. The same goes for any age. The more you do each day, the slower time goes by. The thing I want to change now, is to definitely do more each day. And most importantly, do more of the things I love each day.
Wow, this is really relevant to myself. I’m 19 years old and this helped me prepare myself for my 20s

I’m 37 turning 38 and you are way ahead of me
Take Charlie's advise, don't compare yourself to anyone!
Agree with a lot you’re saying - I really wish I had started entrepreneurship sooner but ah well, glad I got into it eventually 🥰
growing older and staying the same person while still having those goals in the back of ur mind talking to u everyday is haunting.
Oh wow that's super cool to hear!! Thanks for sharing Jeff
what business were you in if you don't mind me asking
I remember all the advice and points about how the only constant in life is change...time goes faster...etc. But it really is a different experience to go through it. It's easy looking down the road and think it's in the far distance. But time freakin flies.
I'm 34 & I Had An Early Mid-Life Crisis Until I Had To Realize That We're All A Constant Work In Progress. 💯
It's rich people problems if he was poor he would disagree with himself lol
@@itzsired that's why he's telling yall money doesn't bring him happiness once he reached that level of wealth he realized it wasn't all that
Great video, really got me thinking about my life now currently in college and in my 20s and I'm just feeling like I should be doing so much more when in reality I'm not doing bad in life I just need to enjoy things more and worry less about money!
You got this!!
One thing I regret is I had too much fun in my 20s and could use that time more wiser but at same time I really enjoyed my 20s.
I’m turning 28 this year.I hate my choices, I hate myself, I’m bitter and my 20s have been an absolute pathetic mess.I can’t move on because all I think about is how much time I wasted and that’s fucking pathetic.Fuck life. For real

Appreciate it!!!
I feel that way too. I am now in my 30s and regret it but with age comes wisdom so I am trying to make the most out of it now.

I'm closing to 30 soon and in case anyone is wondering work on your IT related skills in your 20s, that it gonna be the future.
thanks for sharing!
Really appreciate this video and your channel. I'm super grateful that I'm seeing something like this while I'm still in my 20's
I’m 23, and I’ve already realized all of what you said in this video. My problem is that I’m a highly sensitive person (male), and it is very crippling and troubling. I’m struggling to reach my goals.
@Benzi are you also an HSP?
Read the “Purpose-Driven Life”, it saves the lost souls.
Thank you very much Charlie ! I'm 24 and i'm creating my passive incomes and building my company. To give me the time and the choices in my life. I listen myself this his my one and only duty during my life.

Spot on! That’s good. How’s it going?
I don’t feel like I wasted my 20’s despite wishing I had done things differently. What I didn’t know then is what I know now and part of gaining that knowledge was by walking the path. I wish my parents weren’t so financially uneducated. I wish my mom had invested more time in learning English so that she didn’t have to struggle so much with finance jargon. Working hard can only get you so far when it comes to earning money, you need brains too if you want your earned money to go further and when I say ‘brains’ I don’t mean that you have to be some sort of genius or the next Elon Musk to make better financial decisions.
As someone who is 21 I reallllyyyy needed to hear this

I wasted my 20’s and a lot of my 30’s too. I guess I felt like I was going to be young forever. Doing ok now but feel like I’m playing catch up. My body isn’t the same obviously, even though I’m 42 and still somewhat young.
you say to "don't chase money, chase happiness" yet it seems you are still chasing money at 30 or 31 years old. Nothing wrong with that. It is like the adage, "do as I say, not as I do."

Dude this video has resonated with me so much. So many of these things I have been experiencing. Thank you so much!
Awesome to hear Jacob!
