    Tim I am a disabled vet and a pipefitter for over 30 yrs..This is not a slap at You..The pex connections should be deburred because sharp edges will cut into the "O" rings and cause a leak..I live in an older mobile home and have P/V gray supply lines also..I do like Your informative video's..Regards..Bill

    Be NICE NOW. NOT all of us mobile home owners are TRAILER trash, low income. It's a SMART way to live, for me. COSTS of apartments are $1000-2000 a month in my area. REFUSE to pay that! Homes are hard to get into here $$$$$$$

    • @andreabennington
      @andreabennington Před 3 lety +2

      That grey pipe is the EXACT same type of pipe that is in the mobile/manufactured home (built and placed on a 7 acre property in Texas in 1994) that I purchased in 2012. (The older couple I bought it from had lived in the home since the husband retired in 1994 and hoped they would forever, but the realtor told me his wife had suffered a massive stroke and was wheelchair bound and it was not cost feasible to retrofit the entire home for her chair)
      The couple had done a fantastic job of landscaping, planting Peach, Plum, Pear and Pecan trees and many Redbud trees, they had added a water well so they could water without restrictions, they built a fire pit down by the creek with all the native fossil rocks around here and outlined their landscaping with it, they converted the LR Fireplace to Propane, they took up all carpet and installed Pergo flooring and in bathrooms tile was installed, they built a Barn and an extremely sturdy carport, they added huge decks to the front and back of house, etc, etc, etc.... I was 27 years younger than they were when I moved here and I can barely keep up their improvements! THAT is why I wonder why they did not change out this piping. It has been nothing but problems for me for years now.
      The first was when I purchased a new dishwasher from Lowe’s in 2018 and paid $69.99 for it to be installed, when they saw the piping, they said they could not do the install as there was “too much liability”.
      Luckily I found a wonderful plumber, Luis Lopez of AM Plumbing in Denton, Texas, who explained all about the pipes I had and why they were not ideal and he replaced a portion of them that linked to the dishwasher and installed it. Since I was remodeling the kitchen and master bath at the time, he or one of his guys, also installed the water/ice maker line to the new fridge, new kitchen faucet, new water heater, new garbage disposal, new shower head, bathroom faucet and toilet. I added up the costs and found it was actually less expensive, and I’m sure it was better done, to have a plumber and plumbing company do all of the above than it would have been for Lowe’s or Home Depot to do it!
      Winter of 2018/19 the pipe “split” right by the front outdoor hose and a section was replaced.
      In June or July of 2020 another break under the house, near second bath.
      Did you hear about the Big Freeze in Texas in February? The pipes under my house basically exploded. Now I am finally going to have every pipe replaced. I am living with my brother while waiting for an opening in the schedule to get this job done. It is NOT covered by HOI.

    That being line from water heater, were you not concerned about water siphoning out of the tank and below the element while power was still on?
    Or, did you kill power before cutting the pipe?

      He basically does this in alot of his videos. “Low income.” But “low income” is good enough to keep him with jobs and money. What’s so degrading is he says it like he is any better? He is a plumber ... guess that’s gives him the right to say it like you said. 😂Iam glad you called that out. Yes I know others will see this as well. No one is better than anyone else because of the place they live in. And to talk about them on camera. Shame on you Tim.
