I have one of these . The water keeps filling . It is not the water line level , and the water won’t stop .

I believe some maintenance guy changed the original type of flapper from this toilet cuz I already replaced it with the same kind it had and it has the same issue, ghost flushing or sometimes never seal properly.

Ok I got a doozy for ya, same delta faucet house is only 2 years old and the master bathroom shower faucet goes from extreme hot to stone cold replaced the cartridge twice and still no luck, the other 3 bathrooms don’t have that problem cause I’ve showered in them, it’s only the master bathroom shower, any ideas would be greatly appreciated I’ve also taken the cartridges apart like you explained and lubed them and repaired the springs and washers and still no luck.

Clean your nails

I am changing my Delta shower valve push button diverter to a cap/plug and using the diverter in the new spout. The cap/plug lost the O ring and moving the O ring from the old diverter to the plug resulted in a small leak when the spout diverter is engaged. Is there anything I should look for or be doing, and what O rings are used? Should lub be applied to the O ring. The original was leaking through the stem and took several applications of Blaster and deep socket to free it up. The valve is original to the house, 1988. Thanks

Your not holding your hand virtcal , if u tilt your hand towards the pipe then it will go that direction, but im sure it works.

it's called a balancing spool and this device made "Moen" prior to the "Posi-temp or 1222 cartridge the predecessor valve Moentrol which uses the 1225 has the built-in balancing spool #1423 the price difference is because the spool is built into the 1222 but is separate on the 1225 and must be bought separately...IF YOU'RE HAVING ISSUES WITH A Moentrol that using a 1225 TYPE CARTRIDGE e.g. NO COLD OR NO HOT BEFORE YOU REPLACE CARTRIDGE TRY REMOVING THE #1423 SPOOL AND SEE IF THE SPOOL IS STUCK, SOAK IN VINEGAR WHEN UNSTUCK IT SHOULD RATTLE/ MOVE FREELY

I moved to south Carolina recently from maine. In maine we have basements or at least crawl spaces. We have a abundance of shut off the everything because frozen pipes are a serious issue in the winters were it is common to have 30+ days a year of temperatures BELOW NEGATIVE -5°F. Moving here has been a experience in relearning things I thought I had a basic grasp on. I would NEVER have thought that the main shut off to my house would be in a metal covered box flush with the surface of the ground with metal pipe. In my mind it just wasn't something that is possible. In my mind lines have to be 6ft deep, heated, or inside the homes and insulated crawl spaces not just chilling on the outside of your hose bare or in a box 3in deep. So this is a valuable resource for more than just people with absolutely no idea.

I just purchased a new Everbilt jet pump and it turns on and off any reason why?

So when the cartridge fails, it floods your house? I was looking at buying a few of these, but if this is what happens, there is no way.

One more question. What is the exact name of your pipe cutter? My Husky PVC just causes the pipes to bend and explode when it finally cuts through. Even spinning it around the pipe doesn't work because it doesn't really make an incision in the pipe. It just bends it.
