  • In this video I will show you how a mobile home drain system works and how it drains down. Mobile home drains can be found underneath the home, up inside the insulation.

    We paid a guy to do our sewer lines on our single wide. The guy ran pipe from the drop on one side of the house to the main sewer line and never noticed that the house has TWO main drops. The second one was for the guest bathroom. We used it a few times and it was just draining onto the ground under the house. I noticed it the first week luckily. Make sure you know how many sewer drops your home has and make sure the plumber connects all of them

      Whats the estimated rate to climb under one of these to replace instalation & new plumbing in northern FL? (DW) With all the rain & home settling at some point.

    Hi Randy! I just bought a mobile home and we were in the crawlspace yesterday checking out the pipes. Everything looks good but there was one pipe that was periodically draining small amounts of water but we couldnt find what it was draining and we tried everything we could think of. Any idea what it could be?

    Hey! Is there a pipe running from the washer machine inside the wall? I ask because there is a moldy smell in my bathroom closet, and in my washer machine. I have cleaned what I can see, and am worried about what I cannot see. Thank you for any advice.

      Great question to ask! There have been times when the manufacturer will run the plumbing under the home and between the walls when connecting the plumbing fixutres. It is best to investigate behind the washer to check more leaks. Thank you for watching our videos!!

    I removed the toilet in a double wide trailer and there was water clogged but now its just about 1/4 of an inch I've snaked and lubricated with dish soap and hot water (not boiling). Do you think if I put the new toilet on and flushed it I'd be good? Like I said I can see water down in the horizontal pipe but it's barely any,and it's not coming up the pipe anymore just sitting still where the pipe goes horizontal. Any advice would be VERY VERY appreciated

    I’m having a hell of a time trying to take out a tub drain on my modular. The slip nut pipe is just spinning, the cross on the tub drain is broken, and it seems like they glued the drain into the flange.

    Where are the traps? What prevents gasses from coming up through the drain system?

    • @illtempered6876
      @illtempered6876 Před 20 dny

      That's what I was wondering. I have a smell in the bathroom but don't see any leaks. Most plumbing has a vent to the roof for gasses.

    My question is if the washer drain pipe is uncapped and the washer water is backing up into the kitchen sink then what could that be from? Also kitchen sink backs up when running water in the sink. On going issue for 2 years had it fixed and it's still doing it . Plumber I called to do the job did it free of charge 2 weeks ago but now won't return my calls.

    How do they "vent" and where is the toilet vent located? TIA~!

    • @randydolph852
      @randydolph852 Před rokem +4

      The vent on a toilet is actually the toilet itself. You’ll note the ‘p trap’ for the toilet is in the design of the toilet and the air it pulls for flow comes as the water moves over that p trap, it pulls it along with it through the bowl. Then once the water is in the drain is uses the air from the system vents to move. But like the other comment, it uses the vents from the other parts of the system. In a mobile home however a lot of vents don’t go to the roof but the vent pipe goes like under a sink and is covered with a stutter vent which allows air to flow down but none to flow back through it. Thanks for the comments

    Hey Randy, thank you for the video. I do have a question. I just had the main clear out cleared due to a blockage (which it located like a foot next to my mobile home sticking out of the ground.) I’m noticing a gurgling of air in my guest bathtub when I flush the guest toilette. (Which seems like all the plumbing is located under that area) any insight on what I should do?

      I live in a mobile home park and had to notify the landlord twice, that shitwater was backflowing under my place from the underground connection point. Plumbers come twice and still not fixed. Thinking about getting a backflow valve, should solve that problem.

      Hello, I assure you it is. The insulation in this area is cut away to gain access. This actually is what they often look like, though the tan pipe (cpvc) is a little rare.
