  • Hey guys! This time, we make a powerful little pocket-sized rechargeable Stun Gun (Taser).
    This is Version II of my Stun Gun, packed down to a cylindrical body, safer contact probes (Not sharp & pointy), easy to recharge now via Micro USB, and a brighter power indicator light for better day-time power indication.
    The Stun Gun we make in this video shall not be wrongly used, this is only a self-defense tool and must be used for that purpose only. Do not try it on yourself, animals or any other people just for the "Sake of it".

      I noticed you used the black epoxy I know as J-B WELD Or J-B KWIK. If this is the case then your electrical short at the terminal base is the epoxy. J-B epoxy has metal filings in it, so the voltage output will travel through it.

    The problem is in Australia where It is illegal to defend yourself with any kind of weapon even with a permit. Doesn’t work too well when you have people running through houses and attacking people with weapons just for fun.

    Nicely done man! I made one a few years back and all I did was hot glue the transformer and battery holder together and put a US to EU power adapter on top for the prongs lol. Yours is a lot more detailed. 👍 BTW I love how you called out how it does NOT output the claimed 400000 Volts, a lot of other CZcamsrs fall for the false advertising. Great job man

  • @lucasmertens1
    @lucasmertens1 Před rokem +6

    Hey Max, I’m just a little curious about something…
    I see in both your video and your schematic you place the rest of the circuit in parallel with the battery terminals, rather than using the outputs on the TP4056 board itself. Was there a specific reason you chose to do that?

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  Před rokem +7

      Hi there, Lucas. Interesting you point this out...
      I have done this to bypass the charging board's over-discharge protection feature that comes with when connecting the circuit to the OUT+ OUT- terminals. Another viewer found that connecting the rest of the circuit with the OUT terminals resulted in very early circuit cutoff, reducing the stun gun's reliability when one really needs it. Implementing something such as one of those cheap battery voltage level indicators into the side of the stun gun can come in handy, knowing when to recharge the battery.
      Hope this makes sense. Be sure to choose wisely on which terminals you connect the circuit to.
      As recommended and shown - hooking the circuit up to the same battery terminals of the board will ensure more reliable performance.
      Cheers,
      Max

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  Před 10 měsíci +1

      To put it simply, the high voltage pulsating transformer takes a low voltage DC input and produces a high voltage DC output thanks to a voltage multiplier circuit which uses a specifically timed sequence of capacitors that charge up and build on that voltage + diodes to direct that current to keep building up. Hard to explain, though I hope you get the main idea of how it works.
