As a City fan i honestly can't wait for us to be punished, points deducted, relegated or whatever...
I honestly preferred being a City fan when we were useless....
Success is overrated, it attracts glory hunting false fans to the club, destroys the decades of club/community connection, turns the club you adore into an avalanching greed machine, loses your identity and turns your club into something it was never meant to be...
We are Man City, we weren't meant to be great, we weren't meant to enjoy success, we were meant to be doing our best to become mediocre and failing to do so year after year forever.....
I'd have settled for the FA Cup win in 2011 and then back to rubbish...
If our owners are guilty of breaking all these rules then all the success isn't worth anything anyway.....
Its been nice but we all know deep down that we're just a fortunate version of West Ham, Everton, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace....
We ain't no world beating superclub...
Give me a relegation battle back at Maine Rd over this money driven tarnished nonsense any day of the week....
I can't wait for us to be terrible again and get rid of the cling ons that would never have even knew who we were 15 years ago
Easily the best comment I've ever read on CZcams 🥲
@Klinsmann1985
Thanks matey. I'm just being honest.
Success isn't all its cracked up to be if we're talking about takeovers, wealth and silverware...
It's nice to see the team you love win a trophy but at what cost?
All our (Man Citys) 'success' has been bought for us by oil rich Middle Eastern owners who's plans were always to buy a mediocre club with a loyal fanbase, fast track them to on the field success due to heavy investment, grow the club into a global brand and eventually make a huge return for themselves...
The Man City I loved in the 80s and 90s is unrecognisable... what I see now is a brand who wants to fill the stadium with wealthy new fans...
The core City supporters from Maine Rd are vanishing behind the glory hunters and the players are mainly mercenaries....
I don't consider this transition a success... we've lost who we are.... the fans in the Etihad today expect to win every game.... we expected to lose every game and celebrated a 5th round FA Cup win against Barnet as though we were European Champions...
Yes, Man City won the Treble... but its a totally different Man City than I fell in love with as a young lad...
Money and greed has destroyed Football within 3 decades...
you have an easy choice right, switch..... lol ffs....
I respect that
Why not just adopt a smaller local club. City ain't going anywhere for some time.
Im waiting with baited breath for the premier league to come after my club Forest, for signing 832 players over 3 transfer windows, I know its in the post 😂
Oh how I would like for a Palace transfer to be questioned.. 😂
So basically Sky Andrew's salty because he didn't get his 10% after a falling out with Levy and Defoe, and now he's trying resurrect a 15 year old case that has already been dealt with.
if liverpool did it then the agent would be blamed and charged for confusing liverpool, then the rule would be changed to allow unlicensed agents
Bitter gooner spending 2 years over a non event 15 years ago while citeh and chelsea get away with anything they want
Lawton points out Luton's point deduction when use of unlicensed agent was a very minor part of the case against them. Fail to mention that Arsenal got a 60k fine for the same as Spurs was accused of. At worst it's like Leeds where it was a 250k fine and a ban to a chairmen. But that's a dodgy chairman up against Levy who has more than 20 years track record of doing things by the book. We all know why this happened back then, Sky Andrews is the agent that got Campell his Arsenal move.

Whenever a kid signed for a club in the sixties, the mother got a new fridge-freezer and a hoover and if you were as good as George Best, a steam iron too.
15 years ago, please? oh my gosh! This is terrible!! WOW! Please! Shall we investigate every team that has played in the Premiership in the last 20 years?
Anyone digging up this dirt, has nothing better to do or is attempting to cause a distraction from the multiple breaches of Man City and Chelsea allegations. Spurs have only won one trophy in the last 16 years and have not breached FFP rules.
Levy has not overspent and has always kept within the rules. In other words, Levy has never put a foot wrong as far as handling the books at THFC and has far too much at risk, considering his 40% share holding stake, in THFC.
The player's agent is not employed by Tottenham, it is the respective lawyers, responsibility to check the legalities and fine print and draft up the legal contracts, NOT the Chairman of THFC. That is how lawyers earn their money and what they are paid to do.
In other words, the respective lawyers are paid, to act in the best interest of their client and execute the legal contract. It has nothing directly to do with the chairman of THFC. Levy, simply signs off the paperwork and the same process to EVERY contract that is prepared on behalf of THFC, taking into account also, that there are clauses added/deleted to a players contract. Only a qualified lawyer, would attempt to draft clauses and add wording to a contract, that would have any merit, in a court of law.
P.S. If we dig deep enough, we could find 'dirt' on most clubs in the Premiership. So now, the FA wants to conduct a full review with every club that has played in the Premiership in the last 20 years. Gosh! That would take up the next decade to complete a full review.
If Spurs were found guilty of such a breach, it would be very minor and be regarded as an oversight, rather than deliberately and intentionally acting illicitly. In other words, Daniel Levy on behalf of THFC, acted in good faith and with due diligence. As I have already stated, Defoe's agent, is an independent third party and has no direct association with THFC, if found guilty, is at fault and it is the role of the respective lawyers, to protect their clients' interests.
Please get to understand how contract law is applied before making such ridiculous statements.
I would suggest you've misunderstood the issue. The investigator is digging up all possible law breakers that have been through the arbitrators. There is no time limit so they can go as far back as they want. Man city have broken rules during this same time and which is part of their 100+ cases against them. Since levy signs off the transfer, he is ultimately responsible and representing the club. Just like if your accountant presents you with your accounts, if you sign it off without understanding it and turns out to be wrong, the tax man will chase you and you will be penalised.
2008!! Ya wat, seriously?! Can we do City & Chelsea first please
Chelsea aren't in the same situation. The major difference here is Chelsea reported themselves after Boehlys people discovered the irregularities during the take over and went straight to prem league about it. Chelsea will face a financial penalty but nothing like Everton and hopefully City and now Spurs. All the others were 'caught', Chelsea reported themselves.
Surely there has to be a time limit on these issues, how far back are they going to go
I know right, what a joke. lawton is an Arsenal fan though

This is just pathetic, there are bigger fish to settle City especially
TBH Matey Agent Sky (Happy Soul!!!) did not get his money and has been annoyed since 2008 and he has decided to have a pop
So the laws only apply to City?
Simon makes a good point about agents needing to move players on to make a buck. However the FFP rules themselves have the same effect. When Forest sold Brennan Johnson for £50m and immediately bought Ibrahim Sangare for £30m, that had the effect of boosting Forest's balance sheet not by £20 but by £50m. That is because they sold an asset that stood at zero in the balance sheet and replaced it with an asset that stood at £30m.
Having said that allowing clubs to revalue players as they develop could be chaotic
Yes but not every person is always about making a buck at the expense of honour. There's always good people and bad people in life and business.
Fully biased here but i find this so backwards, fans of all clubs should find this insulting to our intelligence as paying consumers. Way too many inferences and loose connections made about an event 15 years ago that is ultimately immaterial to FFP and league standing. Meanwhile City top the league.... @@russellward4624 Thanks. I've read the article - Sky won the case and was been paid compensation by Defoe (?) or others. What is the challenge now? That the FA was passed additional information and did nothing with it? I'm still rather in the dark about how Portsmouth and Tottenham are additionally at fault
@@russellward4624 read more into it than that. A Licenced agent was part of the deal, its just a panel of 3 QC's are saying in their "opinion" Mitchel Thomas was also involved although the money trail suggests he never got paid a penny.
@@kiaenigma sounds like even more that this is a muck throwing / whataboutism at the FA then
@@kiaenigma it doesn't matter if one was involved. It doesn't make it ok to have a non licensed one involved.
Bet the Journalist is an Arsenal Fan and Sky is bitter 😅 . The way we are going Maybe West Ham will win the League as The Times are dropping stories weekly, next will be Liverpool 😅
Liverpool only thing we did was hack and we were fined for it
Don’t have to be an Arsenal fan to laugh at spurs for breaking the rules and then not winning anything
@@x_MVPas funny as you think you are, spurs actually won the league cup that season.
Zola and Geremi's move to Chelsea is under the spotlight
It's come a long way from the days Reading tried to sell a player in the 70's only to find out he actually belonged to Arsenal and they'd just had him on loan.
No doubt City will be blamed for too! MCFC OK
Course they will blame us (mcfc) ,biggest gobshite against us ,has been levy..not so noisy now huh..
The wheeler and dealer Harry Rednkapp getting involved
Smoke and mirrors, everyone is asking why Everton get slammed and nothing happens to Man City? As Linton Crosby so succinctly said "throw a dead cat on the table and it will change the conversation immediately"! Feed us all ridiculous 20 year old stories while Coty drag it out long enough to achieve a time barred argument for their 115 charges!
Everyone that breaks rules must be punished accordingly. Not just the club that broke your heart. City "if guilty" will get the punishment they deserve, Utd were fined for FFP, Everton got a points deduction, Spurs must get punished if this is true, Chelsea must get punished... Did Liverpool not get punished for hacking City? PL has no time baring, they are not CAS. Relax and enjoy your football, cheaters will get punished.
@@kattphatt
I agree with everything you say. Although I did not specifically state any time barred argument would be applied by CAS, I think anyone could infer once the 115 charges are eventually adjudicated on and if a guilty verdict is handed down then any verdict and or punishment would eventually be heard and adjudicated by CAS, as it was the last time Man City were found guilty of cheating! A verdict I might add still stands, which makes the fact we now have a further 115 charges all the more egregious!
How many points do you reckon they should be deducted for the 30 breaches for non-cooperation? Coz that don't sound financial. Of those 115 charges, how many of them are financial charges? 115 is just a media number, have you even read the charges? Like I said, the guilty should be punished. I know that 30 of those charges are worthy of a fine coz that's just a failing to co-operate with the PL. What we don't know is how many of them are financially related and where is the evidence? Coz with evidence it wouldn't take this long honestly.
Is this guy in the studio and Arsenal or Chelsea fan by any chance?
After everything Portsmouth has been through, to be on the way back up and recovering, it would be incredibly disheartening to have charges levied on them. The club has been through administration, fan ownership, sales, 3 relegations, point deductions.. this wouldn't feel fair at all.
If they do they brought on themselves
@pluckypanda9937 maybe, but it's an incredibly simplistic view. Tottenham has had the same management and ownership during that time period, portsmouth dissolved as a company and was recreated. The previous previous previous management brought it on themselves, but they were criminals who were wanted for weapon smuggling, put portsmouth into administration and left finicial ruin in their path. , I'm not sure how that's the responsibility of 3 generations down the line. Portsmouth already paid the heaviest price for their mismanagement, how much more fo they deserve.
But that’s like saying Chelsea shouldn’t get points deducted because they have new owners.
@andrewseymour6502 Maybe, depends how much of it was known by the club, and how much of it was just abromovich behind the scenes. Portsmouth were deducted points for their poor ownership already, I'm sure there's still more skeletons in the Portsmouth closest from that time, but you can't keep punishing them for the same thing over and over.
Chelsea are being honest and open, have self reported, I hope they receive a lenient punishment.
Not if they’ve still breached rules.
