Great review! Thank you for mentioning our exhaust system.
Rented this car on Turo. Had 130k miles. Check engine light on, abs light on, PSM light on.
Still ran like a champ. Hit 120 with ease on the freeway. Third gear in this car is just so addicting.
"whats up everybody its subaruwrx fan"
"of course this is the ______________"
"so i'm driving along this bumpy park road"
"so let's turn onto this backroad here"
"so i've been driving this car for a while now"
"HUGE THANKS TO HARRISON AUTOS FOR HOOKING ME UP WITH THIS CAR"
protoninja "its really nice"
"Whats up its suberduberexfan"
I love how you can always gauge a cars speed by his facial expressions and sounds he makes, it's perfect because you can't really get a sense of a cars speed through a video and most reviewers keep this straight face when hauling ass and I'm just like "is the car even fun for you?" He reacts exactly how I would to a fast car so it's perfect for me😂
Every time you say "let's turn into this backroad" we know that this will be funny XD
Wow love the new intro!
Nick Murray Thanks Nick!
subaruwrxfan true the intro was awesome
+Nick Murray can you and subaruwrxfan do a collab soon!
+rohanuva they already did.
+Nick Murray i was annoyed and thinking the oposite
That looks like a blast to drive matt! Im jealous! Good job!
was just on ur channel before this...liive stream whaaaat.. lol
Tj Hunt Thanks TJ!
Owns a Ferrari now
One legend to another.
Love all the new camera angles! Definitely a great addition to the channel
I love the Cayman and will definitely purchase one someday. I don't think you can do any better in the mid-engine, RWD segment. It's the ultimate back road driver's car on a budget if you go used.
Good job Matt! Great videos! Can't wait to see more on your Mustang. Well done.
That cupholder is the technology from the future.
das where we put da lean
Ctrl K What language are you trying to type.
RS2025 looks like german
I'm loving the new intro! Awesome review dude!
Wow, very nice. I love this intro so much more. Keep up the great work!
Hey Matt I haven't seen ur reviews in a while and man they keep getting better and better I love the new little touches. Keep up the good work!
Loving the new intro and the camera angles, well though out video matt, keep up the great work! also my uncle used to have a cayman just like this, it was such a fun car even just to ride in!
Glad you reviewed this vehicle. I have been looking at a few different Porsches, and with this being one of them i needed more info and a test drive type of video. Thank You.
Great review! This car was recommended by a friend as I have been looking for a drivers car. Your opinion seems to be on point with virtually every other review, these are excellent cars. I test drive one tomorrow and I must say I am looking forward to it. Take care, and keep the good reviews coming. :-)
New intro is great! What a cool car, great video as always!(:
I had this car for a couple of years and I have to say, it is the most fun to drive car in the market. Easy, powerful enough (feels like a Porsche, unlike the 2.7 version) and FUN!!
The 2.7 is just as good, test drove both and went with 2.7 for long term reliability.. No bore scoring issues. Extra power would be nice sure but this is a momentum car and all the major YT car guys say you don't need the 3.4 unless your a track star..
Great review! Always enjoy your videos.
Great review man! I love the new intro
Great videos too man I love how you really go into details
Liking the new intro and camera angles!
Best CZcams channel out there!!!! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. HOPE U NEVER STOP
always appreciate your enthusiasm during these reviews
I'm digging the intro. Nice video bro keep it up
your reviews are now much better and mature than before, well done!
The porsche cayman is my dream car. Beautiful machine that has everything a sports car needs and nothing more. Also, you have a very charismatic camera presence.
glad you finally got a proper intro lol keep up the good vids yo
Thanks for reviewing this model,I plan to buy one in future
these are often overlooked and dont seem popular but theyre dynamically like a baby supercar
Great review. I've always enjoyed your thorough reviews and I've been waiting for this review. Definitely earned a subscribe. I would love it if you could possibly get your hands on a boxster.
Loving the new logo and intro, man!
Really nice new intro....keep up the good work!!!
Love the new intro Matt, nice!
Love your videos man. Greetings from the UK
I like the new bar where you explain the pros and cons, keep it up :)
own a 08 Cayman S w/ fabspeed exhaust and few upgrades, love the review :)
Love the intro man!
Great review!
WOW Matt gotta congratulate you on that intro. Mad props 👌👌👌
Keep the Great work men!
Great video one of the best ones I have seen from you. Can you please review a infinity G35 coupe I would love to see that.
Keep up the great work! You are a car guy and it's great to see you having fun test driving lots of different cars. I like that you are "positive" reviewer. Too many haters out there already ;^) Glad to see you really enjoy Porsches. I get the same reaction from passengers when I floor the gas pedal too ;^) The Cayman S is a great sports car and it's great to see how you can appreciate it even after a very short drive. My only suggestion would be to find a good canyon road so you can really explore the handling and get a buddy to record more exterior shots going through the corners. Longer drives through the curves is where these cars really begin to shine. great job!
Dude that intro... It's super badass!
Great new intro!
Awesome review! I'm not a Porsche kind of guy but I'd definatly would own a Cayman, I love em.
Lol love how the mustang is always in your video in the background somewhere 😉
Love the new intro Matt.. Did you notice the clutch being insanely hard to depress? That's something I've noticed about Porsches around this year
Hey man, love your videos! If i could make a request and ask you if you could do a review on a new 2015 Chevy Colorado or GMC canyon that'd be great! Thanks and great video man!
The new intro is sick!!
Great review! I'm in the market for a 2007+ Cayman or Cayman S. What I really liked about your review, was the driving in winter/snow conditions. Glad to see that the car handles really well, being a mid-engine car. Can you tell us, what winter tires did this one have on? I'm planning on buying it as a daily driver, and being in the North-East US I would want to put on winter tires.
Thanks!
Hey! subaruwrxfan Can you please make a video on your camera gear.. Your videos are so clean and awesome! Thanks!
Nice review!
SICK NEW INTRO!!!
Love these cars i've only driven the Cayman base same year but still loved it!
I saw on the radio you're located by Pittsburgh! I live not too far away in Latrobe coincidentally. But great car and great channel
Oh man been looking at getting one of these so thought i'd look at some videos, I think i'm sold after seeing the cup holders
It’s definitely a great car. Honestly, if you get a 2006 Cayman it will do the same job as some of the newer years. You can always upgrade the stereo because of the kits that are available. Anyway, love your reviews and certainly enjoyed this one!
I've got one and it goes where you point it and sounds awsome and goes round corners like it really on rails, and is ment to be driven x
Great review! I know this question is extremely late, but do you think this car is more fun to drive overall than a turbocharged ND1 Miata (that also has a upgraded suspension and brakes)? I have a budget of 25k for the most fun sports car I can and just can't pick which one... Thanks!
Great review! It's so genuine and all the smiles made me smile too haha. Would you recommend getting the 2006 or jump to the 2009's? The 2009's have new engines, the new PDK Transmissions, and just a bunch of modern upgrades. However, the PDK is automatic, and I'm guessing you'd almost force me to get a manual for a porsche. I have a 2012 c250 sport sedan (it's alright) which has many modern tech upgrades i enjoy; so i'm not sure if I should pay more and get the newer model. Thanks and I'll definitely subscribe!
Julius, this may be the best comment you've ever been given in your life. I used to have a 2006 Cayman S. The first corner you take your reaction is 'holy shit I'm in a supercar. Either get 2006-2008 Cayman S with a radio adapter to get Bluetooth. Or buy a 2013-2016 Cayman S or Boxster S
new changes are good! Intro is good, so is the new camera angle!
Review a 04 g35, continue the good work man
13:13 WTH .. dude appeared outta nowhere
wwttff i watched back to another shot where he wasnt there and he popped up while he was still in the same clip loool
He must be bruce wayne
1:32 Lol love the shot of your Mustang in the back
Love the new openings
I love the new intro Matt! The Cayman to me is almost like the handling of the BRZ and the powerband of the 350/370z. I really like how the Cayman looks too. And for 30K.... What a bargain. Oh yeah and what camera do you use to record yourself in the car?
Great Video Thank you!!
Quick question.. no spare tire??
been enjoying your vids for awhile now. The acceleration runs in all your videos and comments on steering feel and handling are great. Like the new editing and notes you have. Also like that not everything is good - saying negative things about cars too. The summary/thoughts after driving the car for awhile to get a feel for the car is a nice touch. subscribed.
Even just watching you driving this made me smile
Love ur vids keep doing them the way u want ignore these haters
Matt...on your next weekly update could you incorporate something like your 5 favorite cars that you have reviewed?
It's hard to pick only 5!
Love the intro
Hi Matt , make you rite about the brakes, I drove a friends Cayman S a while back and I thought MAN I ain’t going to stop here !!!!!!!
good review dude :)
All u need is 5 things and u r all set with this vehicle, Straight piped Armytrix exhaust system, K&N E series air filters, EPL Headers and Manifolds, EPL stage 2 ECU tune, and wider wheels/tires and of course 19 inch.
You're starting to become a lot more collected in your reviews. That's a good thing you're not yelling and waving your hands everywhere like you used to. You now seem more mature, and respected.
Nice review Greta.
Nice intro!!
Nice video! Thank you.
Hey dude, I watch your channel a lot and love your vids but I just wanted to give some constructive criticism. Every other motor journalist on youtube give vague descriptions and things that mean nothing to me, and I feel like you're going down that path. Unlimited praise and you don't give anything of substance that gives me more insight into the car. For example " Its very communicative" A better description might say that its so sharp, the throttle is almost twitchy. Or tell us how does it communicate? Does the steering vibrate or if it lets you know how the road is going? Or instead of saying the centre console is good quality, maybe let us know if that silver on the dash is aluminium or plastic? Or even use your mustang's & Brz's shifter as a contrast to give a clearer picture. Or if it's as good as every other journalist says it is? Regular people, we want to watch your reviews to gain actual insight and not hear things like " Its a driver's car" or "its so well balanced" or " its so good to drive". We know this. Additionally, having owned the mustang and brz, you can use those cars to contrast the cayman and let us know if it satisfies more in someway or if the journalists just over hype the car. Not meaning to be harsh! And its just my opinion, love your vids!!
I need to get one of these!
very less bro there is only couple of them around nj very hard to find between 50k-100kmileage
Great vid
are there issues with traction in the snow?
How many cars do u have and how much did did the cars all together cost u
Hey can you review a 2007 911 turbo please? Preferably one with 600hp so i can see exactly what its like first?
Hey! Can you do a review of the mk1 Audi TT please
Own a similar car, thanks for the review
Hey man! Any interest in reviewing a Chevy 2500HD with an 8.1L 496?
6:00 what's that crowd magnet doing there
read somewhere that these engines can blow due to an Intermediate Shaft Bearing defect. Has Porsche addressed this issue?
Sweet ride :p
I know this video is old, but I was wondering, would you consider the cayman s to feel like an upscale, more powerful BRZ? Is the BRZ more fun on the street since you can push it to its limits?
different experience altogether. brz feels flimsy, build quality is nowhere near as good. and there's no comparing a front engine car to a mid-enigne car.
You should review a 2006 pontiac gto
If I could only have one car and didn't need a third or fourth seat this would be my car. Otherwise I have an S4, Boxster S and GTI. Great review!
Are those winter tires? The tread seems pretty aggressive
Matt do you have any input on the Cayman S vs the Cayman with the 2.7L? I guess same with the Boxter as well. A comparison review video would be cool! Always a fan of your reviews and they have helped me in the past make purchasing decisions.
I have a cayman s and did look at the 2.7 and 3.4s before purchasing mine .if you can get to test drive both you will notice a huge difference in power in every gear with the "s" .power seems to be held back to the higher revs in the 2.7 version .i would recommend a custom re map on the car once purchased on both versions but more so on the 2.7 as it will be needed to make the most out of the 2.7 that it has
I appreciate your input Lee. Coming from a 2012 Civic SI I love cars that rev and make power up high. As this is a big purchase for me, I do not want to have any regrets to my decision so I thank you for your input and will be sure to really make sure I buy the right one. I am leaning toward the S just because I do not want to have to think "I wish I would have spent the little extra money for a lot more car"
John DiMonte Get the S. Trust me. It is night and day. there ain't no replacement for displacement. :) Good luck with your search.
great video
Nice placement of the Mustang!
Nice video :)
