    I mentioned on Harry's channel before that this is a great lock, but it's a double edged sword. By using a visibly nice lock on a covered trailer, it makes it appear you have something very valuable inside that is worth the effort. Be sure to reinforce the trailer door locks as well, cuz those have now become the weak point.

    • @davedavenport8176
      @davedavenport8176 Před 2 lety +18

      Well your statement has a whole lot of validity to it. And not just for trailers. I do agree that you definitely want to beef up the door and lock on the door.
      With that said the same thoughts can be applied to a storage locker. I once had a unit broke into that they came through the top. Then un screwed a panel from the inside of my unit into an empty unit.
      It was discussed that my lock 🔐 that was a very heavy duty Master lock that had a high security rating because of false pins was what drew attention to my unit. I had four unit’s with them all connected. So all 4 doors had the same type of master lock.

    I watched a bunch of LPL videos. I then bought a lock pick set and do lock sport now.
    Sometimes when I struggle with a lock, I watch LPL's video on the lock I am trying to pick. The tricks work.
    I know this by personal "lock picks in the locks" experience.

    "kind of a triangular design"
    I'd say it is a disk detainer lock....

    A taller truck could just loop those safety chains over their ball and roll on.

      "All they gota do is shorten them ...throw them around a ball" **proceeds to install a lock that shortens the chains to the perfect length to hook over a ball**

      @@Stuzo2 To shorten a chain you just twist it. Easy peazy

      Or a shorter truck with a drop hitch and the ball installed upside down. Quick trip to Walmart at 11pm and a big wrench and you can steal it regardless of your trucks height. But like he said, the vast majority of people who steal stuff are just looking for the easiest thing to steal and wouldn't go through any extra effort. He said keep honest people honest, I prefer to think of it as keeping lazy people honest. And most thieves are lazy.

    Paying homage to the best lock picker out there and increasing your security... that's a sub. Thanks for this.

    Cheap at twice the price, given what one can lose.
    Good video. Thanks!
