Here’s the real deal (because each one of those countries listed have their specific caveats) it’s understandable that you may have to pay property taxes. That’s fine. You just want to go somewhere where they are much lower than what the majority of us would pay in the US. The trick I learned from finance is *Go Where You’re Treated Best.* Even in Mexico, Costa Rica and other central and South American countries have considerably lower property taxes than the US. Each with their own rules though so you gotta research each one individually.

sauce Most Western countries have adopted the property tax. I believe Canada is just as ridiculous as the US when it comes to property taxes to be honest. It all has to do with the size of the property of course.
The more money you make, the trick is finding ways to keep it without having to give it all away to taxes. So once again that whole ‘go where you’re treated best’ thing pops up. It really starts affecting people the more they make, because nobody wants to finally start making some real money only to have to turn it over to their prospective governments.
I look at some houses built here in the states and the only thing I think about is, “that’s a million dollar house. I wonder how much money they have to pay in property taxes just to live in their own home considering it is fully paid off?” It’s all craziness man. Just start looking online or on CZcams about living in countries with little to no property taxes and you’ll be smarter for it I promise.
