Quick! Somebody make this man famous!
This was fantastic.
you only see and hear artists like this once or twice in your life.....
You know it’s a good song if my kitty grooves to it
my mind just keeps getting blown into tinier and tinier bits every time i listen to gary clark jr.
His guitar is crying...Great song.
YESSSSSSS GCJ is where it is at. This is a more than welcome throwback right here.
Nothing better then some weed, And Gary Clark Jr.
He is killing me...
watched it like 20 times
I like this guy more every time I hear him play. Just an excellent musician and talent.
I am puzzled by those who put down this type of music as being "too simple", "too easy" to play. Actually it's laughable. As I learned a long time ago in my music playing career ... just because it's simple does not make it easy.
If that statement seems absurd to you, spend a little more time listening, playing, feeling ... maybe then the light will go off.
In the meantime, I'll enjoy more Gary Clark, Jr.
onceuponamidnightdry I'd like to see the video of the people who claim blues is easy. Maybe they can show us simpletons how easy it is.
davec3487 I know what you mean. As I tell those who say that about blues, R&B, etc, .... just because it's simple does not mean it is easy. I have found that it is usually younger musicians who hold such opinions.
too simple and too easy to those who dont comprehend what these real musicians are saying. its like the happy go lucky pop lovin people that dismiss grunge and metal as nonsense. i actually feel bad for the people that don't see or hear what some of us get from many artists, no matter the simplicity. the blues will make its comeback.
onceuponamidnightdry Have you heard his electric version of this on the Claptons Crossroads Concert 2013? This guy doesnt even need to play guitar with his awesome vocals. Also he sings alot of R&B and contemporary music. I like this mans voice along and as a harp player myself im so glad hes keeping the blues alive.
gary gary gary... how? just wow
oh man I looove this.... great great great...
thank you for this song.
wow! wow! wow! amazing!

The successor to Robert Cray as the greatest living blues man on the planet.
Chris Coyle There are many many great bluesmen and some you never even heard of. For instance check out this on utube and i have been listening to this man for 35 yrs now; The Glen Kaiser Blues Band start our with the song Crossroads live.
Chris Coyle Check out this man on acoustic slide guitar while your at it and i have been listening to this man also over 35yrs and he is good friends with Glen Kaiser. Hes from England and you cant buy his music in the USA only straight through him. Check this song out by Bryn Haworth instumental How Great Thou Art on acoustic slide.

A rambler.
lmao chill out i love gary clark jr but this except maybe the strumming is kinda easy to play if you got some experience its basic blues, but it doesn't mean the song is anything less than great, a song isn't good cause it's hard to play, it's cause of the feelings packed inside it
They are both great guitarists however in my humble opinion they're both about two separate things.
Holy shiit! This song is probably inspired by little wing - jimi hendrix
I hear no resemblance what so ever. like it literally sounds nothing like little wing at all.
This song is really easy to play.
