  • There's nothing quite like a Cinnabon cinnamon bun. These soft, sweet rolls are the size of a burrito, and usually only available when you're walking through a mall, thinking about something else. That's when Cinnabon assaults your senses with the smell of cinnamon, sugar, yeast, and butter, which waft through the serpentine halls of shopping malls. When they reach your nose, you suddenly realize that, yes, this is something you'd like to eat. Cinnabon's business model and trade secrets are a little more crafty than you probably realize, even though they're still pretty simple. These are secrets Cinnabon never wanted you to know.

Not a cinnabun employee at all but worked in professional bakeries and restaurants all my life. A trick we learnt was we would leave a oven on all day even if finished baking. You would have a bottle of love juice as we would call it made up of cinnamon molasses deluded in water and when shopping centre filled up with people and we weren't so busy we would get love juice and squirter into the hot oven getting that mouth watering taste going. In restaurants we would do something like send out a meal which wouldn't be for anyone but say we needed to use up prawns (shrimp) it just have a few of those in some garlicky cream and it would be the long slow way from kitchen to kitchen and might make it passed 100-200 guest you would then see a spike in orders for things with that in it

Their trademarked cinnamon is really Korintje cinnamon. When they first opened many years ago it used to be posted on a sign and employees had to learn to pronounce it. Make sure it has a high oil content and clumps together so it works better in the recipe.

Before I switched to eating low carb, I had bought Cinnabon twice. The frosting was so overwhelmingly sweet that it made my teeth ache, so the next time I told them to skip it. The result was a bland tasteless bun. That cured my desire for a Cinnabon even when the aroma is enticing. Now any sugar-loaded treats are out of the question.

Where, I live in small town Indiana there are no big truck- stop gas stations, so, on my way back from my doctors appointments, there are quite a few truck- stop gas stations that have Cinnabon Kitchens inside, and, from time to time, I get one there. There’s Cinnabon Stores still in our malls. When, I go to a mall and, if, I start smelling them, I follow where my nose leads me. Lol Kroger’s now sells frozen Cinnabons and they sell 2 big caramel pecan rolls for $4.99 and, then, they sell 8 for $9.99, the quality is surprisingly pretty good. Those are put in a cup cake paper pan (wrapped up in plastic) but, then each Cinnabon is individually lined in that brown paper. So, you don’t have to make them all at once. But, once you have them you won’t buy pillsbury cinnamon rolls in a can. However, the pillsbury cinnamon rolls with orange frosting is something, I grew- upon and, I will still eat those on rare occasion.

I prefered it when Cinnabon took over for the Mrs. Fields cookie place. I started hating the smell of chocolate chip cookies because the mall always smelled like them and, after a while, it became sickeningly sweet. The cinnamon scent never has this effect and it's always a part of the fun experience of the Mall that you get to smell that all over in every store, etc.

o how i love those buns. this year, 2 Cinnabon locations had grand openings bout a mile from each other. they are not in malls anymore. they are in very high trafficked locales. not only that, they are merged with other delicious dessert companies under the same roof (not going to name them).
iam so happy this happened & i no longer have to trek to the mall for the Best dessert o the planet. now i can walk there.
on a personal note, no matter what the brand name is, only Cinnabon can make Cinnabon. you can not make it at home. it is not the same at all. it never will be.

Meh I never go to Cinnabon ever as cinnamon rolls are dirt cheap to make at home. All you need to do is make a 13x9 pie crust then spread out ur butter/margin then shake cinnamon on top then roll it up then slice them before placing on a greased pan to bake at 350 for 20min. As for the topping it's just softened cream cheese and powdered sugar witch is then mixed together.

As a cinnabon employee, things I can confirm -
    - we're supposed to constantly be rolling cinnabons if we're not serving you
    - my store itself doesn't put the sugar in the oven, but we do just sometimes put a lil extra on the parchment
    - trust me, not even us in cinnabon aren't allowed to know the dough recipe, just we get the dough and do everything else
    - the roll on the go one is accurate and they're so fun to make! However, it's rarely just the centre, we just chop up a cinnabon we didn't sell the day before and make it from that.
And also some more tips -
    1. Buy things in cinnapacks from the front shelves, it's usually cheaper
    2. You could probably make the lemonade yourself - we literally just use lemon syrup, water and sugar
    3. We're supposed to tell you, if you order a minibon, that it's only cheap to upgrade to large and we must offer additional toppings - but it's very rare people do
    4. Sorry, but we very rarely make bonbites. Mainly because they don't sell as well as the other rolls.
    5. Most employees' favourite roll is the caramel pecanbon. Even then, we rarely make them into caramel pecans as the classic cinnabon sells that well.
