LEXUS ES350 Oil Change | Tutorial | Step by Step
I show you the proper way to change the oil and filter in a Lexus ES350 or any other Toyota vehicle with a 2GR-FE 3.5L V-6 engine. This is a fantastic engine and on this vehicle come with a canister type oil filter. I used Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic oil and this is available in a 10k mile version and a 20k mile extended service version depending on the driving style and oil service interval that you prefer. I myself prefer a 5k mile or 12 month oil change interval, whichever comes first.

So the little O ring is not necessary???

Only if you open the bottom of the oil filter cartridge to drain the oil from the oil filter before removing it. I never do that so I never have to replace it.
