Best scooter repair videos on CZcams! Thanks Mitch!
😄🙌🏼
Thanks to your videos I was able to do a tune-up myself and it came out great!!! Thank you for making them concise and easy to follow. Great stuff my friend!!
Thanks, I used your videos for my oil and spark plugs so far!
You're the best teacher!!!!
Love the videos Mitch! Gapping the spark plug is very important as well!
what does it need to be gapped to?
I think it’s the clearest video yet. I like the extra graphics and the simplicity of it
Glad to hear it!
Well with youre tips my elite is up and running like new dr pully siders also my roller weights were toast once again thankyou and now i must go turn some miles
Thx for the video, my ruckus is working much better now :D
Awesome!! Glad to hear!
Mitch, thank you for the easy to understand and follow videos.
I changed my spark plug with an iridium spark plug and I instantly noticed the difference on my Ruckus.
Thanks again for your awesome vids!

Hello
When you changed the spark plug did the threads of the old plug have oil on it?
Brian Giemza - I did not notice any oil on the threads of my old spark plug. It could just be a bad or worn out O-Ring on your old spark plug. I would clean the threads around the engine where you screw in the plug and then check the new spark plug after a few rides to see if it happens again.

Thanks for the information. I called the dealer they said this is normal. I still dont believe them. The 2019 ruckus was used with only 100 miles on it. I'm hoping the oil was just from the dealership tune-up. Maybe the mechanic put the oil on the plug for lubrication/seizing up. They said they checked everything over. But like you said, I cleaned the plug and will drive it for a while and check it again. Thanks
Brian Giemza I would take it back to the dealer If you notice oil on the threads of your new spark plug after a couple days of riding your Ruckus.
Good job and I change each year the spark plug with a new one, that is, every spring at the beginning of the season change the oil in the engine oil to the spark plug and of course the gasoline filter
Thank you! That's great to keep the bike fresh and healthy!
Ruckus is it's own class, yes slow but reliable and lots of fun in snow and grass etc.i drive my truck to n the fast lane and my ruckus when it's hot in the slow rain but it's fun as it is
Mitch for the win
😄🙌🏼
Very well done videos thank you
You are awesome Mitch!
You rock!
Love you Mitch you're the best
❤️
Could you include the service interval for all these different ruck services you do? You make great videos, I’m always just wondering when I’m supposed to perform these services on my rucks. Thanks!
Get Owner's Manual / Shop Manual....
I just tried to put in a new spark plug, but it won’t screw in all the way. As I was turning it I noticed it started messing up the threads. Any ideas? It is 100% the right spark plug. Thanks advance.
So I replaced the spark plug but I still cant start it with the button. I hear it clicking but it won't start. I've been using the Kickstart. Did i do something wrong? Or is it because it has been getting colder out here
Badass scooter caveman!
Hey mitch I gotta work tnt and I drive a Honda ruckas 2018 and when I go to start it up it clicks where the fuel pump is and won't start with kick start I need to get it working for tnt so I took the battery out and put it on the charger cause it's cold outside I'm hoping it will start when I put it back in tnt for work. But not 100% it's gonna work anyone got tips tricks suggestions for me ???????
Why do you have a link to a CR8EH when in the video you clearly used a CR9EH?
thank you!
You're welcome!
Mitch, My 2018 Ruckus drains the battery without recharging. Could it be the spark plug or something else? The new battery lasted a couple months then not starting even with kickstart.
You have left the key on.
Do I need to gap the sparkplug on your link or is it ready out of the box?
.036" but it is pre-gapped from the factory anyway.
Just a quick question. Does it has to be the exact spark plug or is it long head or short head? I Cant find the NGK ER8EH-9 😞
@Fuzzy vibe thank you for the reply, but i had sold my zoomer lol, still missed it sometimes ☹️
Mitch I see there was a little oil on that plug. Is that normal? I have a little on the threads also
i need to know this. im trying to avoid a rebuild
Hello Mitch! Can you help me with one strange thing happening with my Ruckus? (sorry for my English ))) RThe problem is that when it is rainy or a lot water on the road the sparkling plug gets wet and scooter engine stops... I dont have any idea how does water gets there... maybe you can help me to solve this problem. Tnx a lot foanswering!
Take to mechanic
"Dont over tighten" whats the tq spec
Is it important to torque down the spark plug on the ruckus? Just picked mine up yesterday
Awesome stoked you got one! Hand tighten will do fine....
@@MitchsScooterStuff Supported you through your links always, because you're a life saver. Thanks Mitch!
Hey this is kinda a question for everyone out there with a ruckus or really any small engine I got a ruckus the other day and I checked the oil and it smells a bit like gas could that be because of the spark plug
Yes you will have a little smell.
Reid check your spark plug sometime. I just bought one 4 weeks ago and I pulled the spark plug and found oil on the threads of the plug. I'm trying to find info if this is normal. Maybe it came from the factory that way.
Thanks
Can you change the fuel filter from underneath? 🤔
You could but then you'd probably leak gas all over in the process
Thanks bro, some some advice my Ruckus went down for 3 week, now when I ride it, it won’t go pass 30Mph
What happened ? Did you fix this?
Forgot to set the gap ?
It comes from factory pre-gapped to .036" which is what it needs to be anyway.
The easiest way not to over tighten is when it doesn't free turn anymore 1/8 snug
Hello
When you changed your spark plug, did the old plug have oil on the threads?
Thanks
@@briangiemza1323 it did but I put a little so it's easier to remove
I put an iridium in mine and it bogged so I'm going back
Or you could just go buy a real motorcycle!
But hey if you like life in the slow lane, to each his own, its still better than a stupid car.
Leave my ruckus alone this is a lil two wheel car it has everything my 1993 Mitsubishi lancer had :3 and I find that quite a delicacy
