Honestly i dont mind it being broken. What people don't understand is Taker WANTED the streak to end. He was literally begging for someone to beat him, but everyone just said "no" out of respect. Therefore, im fine with it because even Undertaker wanted it to end.

So what if the last season of Game of Thrones was shit. It's scripted so why do people have a problem with it? You have opened my mind and made me see reality. I'm going to now no longer care what happens in any movie or show, invest in characters or storylines or what happens in them because hey, it's scripted so it doesn't deserve anyone's attention. If Roman had ended the Streak and THEN go into the Tribal Chief gimmick he'd be up there with the most hated heels in history. The biggest problem WWE had with Roman was their insistence on running with him as a babyface. He should have been a heel since the beginning

    • @shadowwolf9909
      @shadowwolf9909 Před 3 měsíci +5

@@CactusJack252this is correct. They could have turned Kane into the absolute unstoppable monster he truly was.
I still think it should have never been broken.
But if they were going to do it, Kane wins that first Wrestle Mania match, beats him at backlash again. And then Kane moves on defeating everyone else, goes onto win the King of the Ring, gets his title shot at Summer Slam and wins it. Undertaker challenges him for Survivor Series for the championship, Kane agrees, but Paul Bearer adds the stipulation that Taker never gets another title shot again. Kane wins again. And continues taking on all comers outside of The Undertaker and wins all of them.
The Royal Rumble comes, Undertaker draws the first spot, goes the distance and wins the Rumble and then finally vanquishes Kane at Wrestle Mania, the rest of the roster comes out and gives Undertaker a standing ovation as Kane's year and a half plus of terror finally comes to an end.
I understand all the reasons it never happened, from Austin, to Glenn Jacobs not wanting to end the streak and he knew he was already a made man just from the feud so far.
And besides we never would have gotten the streak becoming what it did had Kane won. But the streak definitely shouldn't have ended and neither Brock, or Roman needed it. If anyone was going to do it towards the end of his career it should have been Bray Wyatt frankly.

What y'all do instead is like the one that are boring suckers when it comes to wrestling, but are pretty good at cracking vulgar jokes like :- stone cold, John Cena, edge, Shawn Michaels.
Roman Reigns so far possessed a great of everything u need someone to call a wrestler: good physique, skill set, speed, agility, coordination, explosiveness. And it's actually hard to find a guy of his size(*120kg frame) who's as athletic as him. And he's actually been using his physical abilities the best way he can. He's wrestling matches were the most interesting when he was playing the big dog gimmick. But sadly most wwe fans don't understand what wrestling is all about or even what wrestling is . If promos and jokes are what u fans care about then u better switch to stand up comedy. How could fans be so stupid that they don't recognise a true talent. Wwe ruined Reigns on the demand of the stupid fans.

  • @Horrorflicksnchill

Streaks are usually broken anyway. If anyone was to break the streak in the most believable way it would be Brock! On the other hand, if anyone needed the win over the undertaker I agree with the decision of Roman winning since he’s the future of the business. Personally, if I had Undertaker defeated Brock and Roman at those respective mani matches-if I had my way I would have Bray Wyatt beat the streak

I'd buy that if weren't for the fact that Roman was also a Grand Slam Champion, a former Royal Rumble winner, five time consecutive Royal Rumble finalist, had broken Kane's Royal Rumble elimination record, had clean finishes over Triple H, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, and Chris Jericho, and was otherwise built as an unstoppable superman with every accolade the business had to offer for nye on a decade.
Currently, he holds a record of having the _second_ most Wrestlemania main events, only one behind Hulk Hogan.
The fact that all that and more _still_ wasn't enough to sell him as the new face of the company should have spoken volumes. Fact is, WWE actively sacrificed the best years of dozens of promising storylines and careers (including Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, and Drew McIntyre), as well as undermined the achievements of previous legends (including Kane's RR record, Brock's breaking of the Streak, and the status of every Grand Slam champion) by feeding them all to a man the fans had actively and near unanimously rejected for nearly ten years.
No one, and I mean _no one,_ has benefitted from Roman's run. Everyone he has worked with has seen their careers slow to a crawl or die completely. Because everyone and everything was actively knee-capped in an effort to sell Roman as the "next big thing."
Roman rarely being in the ring has been a godsend to the product, and has giving some much needed breathing space to the rest of the business. After 12 years of work it's (begrudgingly) fitting to label Roman as a veteran in the company, and it's historically a veterans duty to help build new superstars and cement the future of the business, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I can't say that Roman's run has permanently damaged the business without sounding hyperbolic, but I know that me and many others have completely tuned out of it for that exact reason.
I don't think WWE's desperation to build a star has ever crippled its product so widely in its history. Not with Hogan, not with Cena, not even with Triple H. Credit to Taker for keeping loyal to the product and its booking, but I calls it as I sees it. Roman was a mistake.

But in some respects that match against Roman was his retirement match after all cause he didn’t have another match in front of a crowd. The match with aj wasn’t a traditional match.

Brock Lesnar should have been his last match. For it to push him that much, and the fact that undertaker's legacy has already been solidified tenfold, it's okay for him to suffer as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, wrestler of all time to let someone else get a major push 💯💯💯🫡🫡🫡

    1. Streak should never have ended.
    2. If it HAD to end, it should have been at WM25 with HBK (followed up by Taker beating and retiring HBK at WM26).
    3. If he already lost to Brock at WM30, that should have been the end of it.
    4. This was a terrible idea. Roman Reigns is not on the same level as those other guys.

The streak should either, never had ended. Or only have ended by Roman Reigns. But not at Wrestlemania 33. He was beat up and should never have even been in the ring that night
I think the 2014 rumble was the perfect rumble for Reigns to win, instead of batista and then reigns challenging Orton that year. But then the following year, they should have had Taker vs Reigns. A year after Taker had beaten Lesnar

  • @tiphotisted

The streak was bigger than Taker at a certain point after Taker was just around for about 1 match a year, so even if he wanted it to end, it shouldn't have at that point nor should have been his decision.
If nothing else the Streak could have been teased forever as a match at Wrestlemania including the buildup to it for many more years. To add insult, a glorified midcarder then took a victory off Taker at a Wrestlemania. Now the magic is completely gone.

I wouldn't say as the Tribal Chief but I would like a proper heel run as the Big Dawg that could work so my vision is essentially Mark Henry's Hall of Pain but done right with it lasting much longer and more devastating. No bloodline just the Big Dawg unleashed.
