When you did that physics question, you have to keep in mind that it's 180 questions in 180 minutes; you have no more than a minute per question. No time to breathe, no time to let your mind rest, nothing. Since that's the case, you'd have to do that entire calculation in under 30 seconds, because it takes a minimum of 10 seconds to read the question and process all the information, search your mental repository to see if you even have the answer or the method to get to the answer, then decide if it's even worth your time to attempt the question - keep in mind the negative marking - and then to go ahead and solve it; God forbid you can't get the answer within 30 seconds. The remaining 20 seconds of the minute you can spend on the question at hand are used to check to see if you answer matches any of the provided options, and then to proceed to mark the correct option on the OMR sheet given (which is a separate task altogether - having to search for the question itself, then making sure you fill in the correct option circle). That's just the exam itself. Preparing for it, believe it or not, is exactly as stressful, but for around 2 years. I've known many people who just couldn't make it through the prep and just dropped out, people who've copped out over 4-5K $ for tutoring, and people who've unfortunately taken themselves, just because the pressure to perform even marginally well in this exam is tantamount to having a gun held to your head and being instructed to recite the first 1000 decimal place values of pi. Overall, this exam is a horrific way to cull the mass majority of the population. Sure, some talented and deserving students do get through it, but a lot of those who make it through this exam and get medical seats are those who get granted special treatment by the government because of laws put in place more then a century ago, and for the most part they are horribly undeserving. It's such a heart-breakingly sad sight in this country, and I'm ashamed to admit that I'm one of the kids who stuck through to the end, but couldn't clear the exam.
