this video shows the location of the input and output speed sensor on a 6L80 6L90 Chevrolet 1500 2500
symptoms could be shift problems from 1st to 2nd or 2nd and 3rd or 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th or 5th to 6th you may also see a fluctuation in the speedometer it self jumping from 1 speed to another without a change in the actual truck or car speed, the tcm will not be able to place the truck or car in the correct gear without the correct speed signal and shift points will be harsh or maybe no shift at all Chevrolet

Great video! I'm looking at doing this job on my Corvette with the 6l80. Did you need any special tools to relearn these sensors, or is it just a simple unclip and replace?
I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 and I got a code p0741 for TCC stuck off and I don’t know what the problem is it drive and shifts perfectly fine under 40 mph but anything after that it just doesn’t want to shift do you happen to know what it can be?
this sounds like you should look further into a torque converter replacement
I had a code pop up for my input speed sensor. I occasionally deal with some rough shifting, not too often. This code has popped up twice, also I read that cruise control will not work when this sensor is bad. I was told I need a new trans. Any suggestions???? Thanks
an input speed sensor can cause the transmission to shift very erratic and can cause no cruise control I would change the speed sensor before replacing the transmission
@@codemansauto208thank ya sir
Please, what is the tool called that fits those bolts at :55 second.. the one on the right??? I need to replace my internal mode switch and of course dont have that tool!
E Torx & Star Socket
Torx plus is what fits best on there with the least likely chance to strip it or you can order the GM socket DT-48285
