Is the term 3rd World Countries demeaning!? Yes, the term "third world country" is considered outdated and can be considered demeaning! Yea, unfortunately , many people are ignorant of the basis of how countries came to being 3rd World Countries. Rather that the alignment of politics (and economy) capitalism (1st world), communism (2nd world), non-aligned (3rd world), 3rd world countries are perceived as drought stricken, under developed, extremely poor, uneducated non-democratic countries that are part and parcel of the countries are present on Earth. The derogatory frame of reference is (unfortunately) still used😅😢!
