Argh, what a lovely gesture for you putting a smile on the beautiful, poor ghetto kids from Matapi flats ,Mbare🇿🇼❤️! Yonks back when I resided along 3rd Avenue, Mbare, my bestie from 5th Avenue,Mbare married his wife who resided next door to a shebeen we frequented in the shabby hostels 😊! I feel sorry for hordes of families living , crammed like sardines in those dilapidated, poorly ventilated & lit ramshackle flats 😢! It’s depressing to witness the young lads eke out a living out of everything possible…😮😢….sad that’s how our beloved nation has turned out to be..,😅😢!
Thank you bro for always coming back to watch and interact as usual. Your support is well appreciate. This was an eye opener for me as I knew Matapi flats existed but had not been there to experience how people live. It was so emotional for me but I thank God for the opportunity to spent the short time with my mister’s and brothers and that what makes me happy. I am hoping to visit again next time and hopefully give back to my home county even if it’s little it will be fulfilling for me🙏🏾
Thank you, my sister.
You are welcome brother
Wish I see you and make one or 2 videos
Well done sisi
Thank you my Sis🥰
Well done girl

Thank you for being consistent Hanzvadzi. If you recall I am the guy who asked you about Mukoma Recorder. I mixed names. I meant Mukoma Sam. I remembered the name after seeing him
Again in this video. Takatamba tese bhora kuHighfield. Greet him for me. I wish I could have his contact details. He was such a nice big brother!
Thank you my brother. Oh how lovely that you know my brother so well. I will let him know 😊
The $5 million Wicknell spent on people with money could have been used to refurbish these flats.

@@josephchenjerai1075 You answered as expected of a Zimbabwean..
It’s the government’s responsibility.
@@fmk7941 You are missing the point. Those are embezzled funds as far as public funds go. It's not your fault, Zimbabweans rejoice when others are robbing them. Running after another man calling them " mbinga, mbinga" whilst they drive past you in a Rolls Royce they bought with public stolen money. Sad, really sad.
@@fmk7941 You are truly Zimbabwean, you rejoice at being robbed. You are the kind of guy that runs after these guys cars saying " mbinga, mbinga. Sad really sad
Very humbling video.
Thank you so much 👏🏾
I have learnt never to judge people. You dont know what someone else is going through. God bless you all people ❤
You are so right my Sis. Everyone has their own challenges and weakness and we should never judge someone🥰
❤❤❤❤❤such a beautiful country.
Thank you Fatima🥰

greetings always sis Maria, great once again to see matapi , kumatapi kumbare, thats a very crowded flats and too risky for health conditions , i never liked or attempt to play around those flats, those ghetto youths can do better if they can focus on whatthey are doing but they have to stay away from the stigma of drugs, the aunt have been there selling since 1980, thats lifetime , a family of 8 living in that accomodation its bad, the problem with the flats , you only own that space , u cant have a garden or backroom, good to bless the children with the gifts of sweets, good work and keep it up sister
Hello once more and thanks for always coming back to watch and support me. Yes, something needs to be done at the Matapi flats so people can have a better life. I am sure our government knows and I read somewhere that they were doing something about it but not sure of the progress. As a Christian myself I believe prayer will help to bring change to our country. The youth needs help to engage in projects and as you rightly said they need to stay away from the stigma of drugs. The problem is it’s a cycle that needs breaking. The moms are amazing and I salute them for what they are doing ❤️
I want to join you on one of videos.
❤❤
I grew up in maflats and white people used to take pictures of us and thought we were so poor seeing us with no shoes and shenha 😮. These one roomed homes would accommodate orphans more than any relatives with bigger houses. How I wish our brothers can move to rural areas and get more land,so much potential in them❤. Thank you , great content.
Thank you Thelma for always coming back yo watch and interact on this channel. Good point about moving to rural areas where there is more land. The more is so much potential in these young people and I also pray that things better in our country.
Thank you for your comments.
I love my ghetto
Welcome and thank you for taking time to comment.
❤❤❤❤
May the Lord remember our country 😢
he remembers it with poverty and misery
@vusumuzimathumo-githendu6949 it so sad indeed. We keep praying for our sisters and brothers for divine healing to these emotional wounds❤️

Oh yes some famous Zimbabweans come from this background meaning anything is possible with the right attitude and hardwork. I was inspired by the ladies and youth I spoke to who are not letting circumstances determine their lives. They are trying hard ❤️
They should help people in their community.
Under mayor Solomon chirume he wanted to renovate these flats and Mugabe refused and took the money including kunzwi dam ,they later build few house around Rufaro stadium removing tin house

New sub here❤❤
Welcome Chipo🥰
Hello Maria, much love from abroad! Not sure what your objective is while filming real life on the ground but it looks like you are doing a great job.
Are you aware that you have the whole of CZcams as an audience. Well, at least you have me watching your videos from the UK. Would be great if you could add captions to your video to translate the dialogue. I think we are missing a lot of the local language conversation. Thanks though and all the best!
Thank you for watching and your comments. I will try and add captions as much as possible to cater for a wider audience. I also live in the UK but do content worldwide.
Basa guru ramaita apa, and I liked your interaction with the different people.
Are you a journalist by profession?
Welcome and thank you so much for a lovely comment. I wish I was a journalist😊maybe I should go back to Uni❤️
No need for Uni, you are doing good already.
Some who say they have "no choice" but to use substances, and blame everyone around them for their situation, able bodied men ... then watching other people hustle to make a living without blaming anyone. The government has let them all down.

Welcome and thank you for watching and commenting here❤️
That guy talking about PTSD is actually telling the truth I grew up there it’s been 30 years since I left but I’m still dealing with the trauma of my childhood while ZANU PF is spending billions on themselves people are still starving where are the men of Zimbabwe can you fight for your families and remove this stupid terrorist government
Welcome to my channel. So sorry to hear this has brought back some bad memories for you. I was so touched by the young man telling their stories and how life is hard for them living in the flats. I pray things will improve for these families in the near future.
@@MariaHamz it’s very sad ufunge I’m still watching and still crying the trauma that a lot of people go through mu ghetto is insane especially girls you will be hard pressed to not find girls who were not sexually assaulted growing up there and to think people still live like that it’s absolutely gut wrenching
Wow Zanupf is doing wonders. Ed huchi ✊️

Welcome and thank you for your comment. Good to hear a comment from someone who lived the real life. It broke my heart to see how people live and I pray and hope that one day things will improve for this community.
Sisi Maria pakuzoverangawo maSweets ko dai makatenga gaba rese kik😂. Vazosara votengesa havo asara more profit
Thanks for your comment Sis.We only counted so that we can pay the correct amount and the seller did not have anymore sweets otherwise i could have bought more. On that day I did my best I could but as you can see the situation needs more than sweets for the kids. I truly appreciate you commenting and interacting on this channel❤️
@@MariaHamz,i think you did a great job sis. It doent matter counting the sweets. Paying for the whole gaba what if you under pay the lady. Good job dear. That smile you put on those little angels its gold❤
@@angelachadamoyo8631 thank you Sis.
@angelachadamoyo8631 kikkk trust me those ladies know how much they get out if a gaba. If what you said was true (of which its not) sis Maria would have asked the ladies to count all the sweets and paid for the gaba or more....not just the ones she gave the kids. Considering it's content creation a little generosity goes a long way.

Thank you my brother. I will need to find out more information and the best way you can help. I will be honest with you here that its an area I have not dealt with before and I know gifting on social media can be sensitive to others who may not have the same vision so I would not want to be involved until such a time when I have enough knowledge on how to get help for others in need. This is something I have also always wanted to do in my life and believe I have calling and my purpose for it on this earth. At the moment I do this from my own pocket and offer the little I can but I hope one day God will make a way. Once more thank you and I promise to get back to you as soon as I have more details and information on the best way that you and maybe others here who may want to do can offer help to those in need on my channel. Please if anyone reads this and know the best way to do this please advice here. I would appreciate❤️
They sell fruit and vegetables not vegetables nemadomasi ‼️
They are surviving but i dont think they are happy. They just dont have a choice.Imagine gogo has been selling since 1980 not enough profit for her to have moved out of there or get a bigger business.the government needs to do more for these people.look at the shower so inhuman living.am heart broken but ndingadii hangu.
You are right Emma the ladies work so hard to make ends meet and were smiling but not necessarily happy but have to make ends meet. I was also heartbroken to see all this happening in our beloved country but can only pray and hope that things will change one day for our bothers and sisters living in the ghettos❤️ Zimbabwe is a beautiful country.
The place needs paint up thel look good after thet they must not do graffiti
You are so right.
